You know a guy cares more about his machine breathing than himself when the snorkel stack is above the driver's head!!! Nice build video

Good to know Dirk, after about 10 mins in the water the clutch housing took about a teaspoon of water so I'm going to seal everything up with silicone, have to put a clutch kit in first. Thanks for watching!
@PowerModzOfficial11 жыл бұрын
Not yet, keeping any eye on it though - and will probably open a hole up to let air circulate.

thanks for the vid, there is lots of mud and water in BC so snorkels are a good idea, I just bought a 2013 xp 900

You need to silicone those joints. The ABS cement will harden and become brittle over time and eventually create a leak. ABS pipe and cement are not really rated for vibrations, it's main use is for drainage of water and waste.

I may be wrong but that black tubing you removed from the fuel rail looks to be like it was a vacuum line. What you connected it to looked very much like a fuel pressure regulator. And if those are anything like most cars and trucks the fuel pressure regulator is connected to a vacuum. Just something to look into

You can put an adapter on the big pipes and run the clear tubes in their to clean it up.

Thats a great idea!

I was going to mention was if you got some steel tire valves and drill the tube thread the valve in and you can put the hoses to them anywhere they`ll hold good .

I liked the video. You ran 3 pipes. Couldn't you just run one 6" pipe for all of them?

on the rubber to abs, you can just use grease and clamp tight. on any abs bends, silicone is better

PowerModz whats the difference in just running a 2" for the air instead of 3" similar to the 800 just wondering why 3" and how bad would it be to run a 2" air instead
@danburch99897 жыл бұрын
Powermodz's point about two 2" isn't the same as one 3" shows that one should always hone their math skills. Just about every day math comes into play regardless of what you do. A single 2" pipe gives you 3.1" of cross sectional area of intake capacity; lots of air resistance to air flow into the engine. Two 2" pipes gives you 6.28" of cross sectional area of intake capacity; more resistance to air flow into the engine. One 3" pipe gives you 7.4" of cross sectional area of intake capacity; almost no resistance to air flow into the engine.

Hey I love your videos they are very helpful. I need some help I was thinking about getting the airaid cold air intake snorkel kit part #883-300, what else do I need too do so I don't get water or mud into the motor?? I have a 14 Polaris rzr 900 stealth black pls help.
@as333as9 жыл бұрын
That's not a snorkel. Looks nice, but it won't keep the water out. The fender is not sealed to the intake on the inside, it's just a bit of foam to seal the two surfaces.
@PowerModzOfficial9 жыл бұрын
as333as I suggest you check out my "Amphibious RZR" video and the others where it is submerged to the top of the snorkel for long periods of time with the engine running - it works great!
@as333as9 жыл бұрын
PowerModz Sorry, I meant the air raid kit marcodz1 mentioned is not a snorkel...I know yours works, I even went to the show in Toronto to get a better look! I'm going to be doing a similar snorkel to my Jagged X before spring. Trying to find a way to move the pipes off to the sides so I can keep visibility as good as I can out the back...

The air filter is tight - i never sealed it, the clutch cover i'd seal if going in deep water.
