Arkansas will always play us tough. That -17 for LSU was high asf. Defense at the end stepped up. Arkansas always is up for us. 34-31 close game. Absolutely defensive play was a bit off. We have Ole Piss next week, we will win that game on the road .

Offense good job, There was no containment on Arkansans QB, ran wild, Defensive Back terrible coverage. Letting the Wide Receivers and Tight End get behind you and beat you down the field. LSU will not play many more quarterbacks with the skill set of KJ Jefferson. The defense got caught multiple times looking in the backfield while KJ was scrambling around and he made the correct plays. Im more concerned with how the TE for Arkansas was blatantly left open. The missed assignments by the defense have to be addressed and cleaned up. This is a rivalry game and I expected a close one. LSU won and now they need to get ready for the ole Miss rebels. KJ is legit and proved it last night. Tigers came up with plays when they needed them and that’s all you can ask for. Lots to be happy about and lots to work on. This is the SEC, records don’t matter. 2 weeks on the road will be a challenge. Let’s Geaux Tigers!

It’s crazy how people are dumping on db’s when our Dline was terrible tonight. This is a collective effort, not 1 position group. KJ ran around all night escaping pressure extending plays making the dbs having to cover much longer than they should’ve. So this was more of a Dline issue than db issue, period.

I can't get over how good Joey B had it when he played. Jefferson and Chase are prob top 5, maybe 6 WRs in the NFL. The college teams didn't stand a chance, lol. I got mad respect for all 3. I hope Joe gets better quickly. LSU needs to tighten up. Go Noles

That answer regarding our last sequence of plays doesn’t make any sense. We could have snapped the ball with about 15 seconds to go in the game and had a decent chance at a TD with a run, THEN called a timeout when the clock got down to 1 or 2 seconds. Plenty of time to get out the FG unit.

Most of them problems are the defensive secondary. They seems clueless, lucky but clueless.. The offensive run game looked good and that is a positive if the QB can't find receivers. It was an ugly win but I'll take it. Better get better because Ole Miss is even better and it only going to get harder after them.

After the td coming out of half you’re up 7 and decide to kick the xp to make it an 8pt game. Why not go for 2 and make it a 2 possession ball game? The final drive after you burn your 2nd timeout why aren’t you telling your team “we’re going to run with the intent to not score”. After 2nd and goal you let the clock run down and run it again on 3rd and goal purely to let the clock run down to 2 secs, burn your final timeout and kick the game winner fg. Arkansas gets no opportunity

Not to mention every WR was 6'4-6'6 180-215 and LSUs secondary averages about 6"0 175-180. I knew this was gonna be a tough game, we've known since April that the secondary was either a transfer or inexperienced. This was a good test against a tough, veteran team.
