A person's perception is their reality! And my perception of what he ment when he un-energetically started his presser and said "..its about what the most money I can get and its unfortunate..." is that we got some kids BUT because THEY are all about the money if this doesn't work out its because of the kids and the landscape of todays recruiting. Blah, blah, blah. Other coaches are excited about Today's " arms race", they have embraced it and are selling the hell out of it. Not making backhanded statements. Using wordplay. If you dont like recruiting and are already making excuses - GO!

Let's not be hypocritical. Coaches regularly find new employers -- why? $$$$$$ So don't fault players at age 17-23 doing what older adults are doing -- getting paid what the market says you are worth. Fans want entertainment and championships, but players and coaches often follow the money. However, champions know there is another path to achieve other goals.
@JeffP-219 күн бұрын
17-23 year old athletes have not spent their lives at the level a coach is at. There is no way in hell I would pay an athlete, who has never stepped on a college football field, the type of money they are asking for. a 17-23 year old doesn't have 1/10th of the experience, both from a growth standpoint and business standpoint a grown man has....
