No, UGA's defense was not overrated. I'm not even a UGA fan. They were making things difficult for one of if not the very best offense in the country last night for the first half. LSU scored 17 points in the first half. If they had a real offense UGA could have still been in the game or maybe even been in the lead. Edwards-Hellaire was bottled up and being controlled. But UGA doesn't have a real offense. So the defense started wearing out in the second half and LSU started to move at will. That is what happens when an offense can't make first downs.

More like LSU was returning healed players on the defensive end of the ball as the season was ending, which meant that LSU's defense was going to have more depth and with starters returning healthy, it strengthens the first line of defense AND now you have their backups with experience. Nailed it Lou. I have tried to tell countless GA Fromm supporters the truth. Kirby "misused" Fields because Fromm was the chosen one. Fields NEVER got a legitimate shot at the position. Never worked with the 1's, was told he couldn't read a defense, excuse, excuse, excuse. Smart did not want a QB controversy and did what he could to prevent it. Fields saw the writing on the wall and got out. Why sit behind Fromm when you can go out and post Heisman numbers?
