I specifically remember the spongebob movie censorship because I was obsessed with those videos showcasing "subliminal messages" or "profanity" in spongebob around that time. I have a vivid memory of watching the movie on TV and looking out for the scene where Mr.Krabs supposedly whispered Jackass to spongebob only to hear the line being reversed.

Despite being removed from the actual "Dunces and Dragons" episode, the SpongeBob doppelgänger is still listed in the end credits. He was voiced by Rodger Bumpass. The official reason for this removal remains unknown, though like other deleted scenes, many presume it's because of time constraints or simply the scene being deemed not funny enough.

My birthday in summer 2008 or 09… I had incredibly avant-garde almost ART PIECE level Spongebob puzzles with washed out colours and STRANGE renditions of the characters… Like they all had a 5 o’clock shadow and there was this harsh and ominous lighting on them not to dissimilar to the lighting in the pilot intro… I have been looking for them for literal years please help me.. They were so experimental looking I’m telling you they looked so weird… Canada here lol. I remember there was plankton and some of those little cloud flowers and maybe their houses? It’s so hard to remember but I remember they came in one box and there were 3 or 4 in that one box. I don’t remember how big the pieces were just that the art on them was like… Just EXPERIMENTAL SpongeBob art that’s for sure. Anyone have any ideas of what this might be?

@@bigearl1624 I kinda dismissed it as that too but they seemed WAY too SpongeBob-y to not be a rare SpongeBob product of some sort… I even remember when I got it I even exclaimed that it was a SpongeBob product because I swear that’s WHAT they were… Even the people there with me were talking about how it was a SpongeBob set of puzzles lol. They have to be an incredibly rare item… I was also 8 or 9 so I DEFINITELY could recall a SpongeBob product when I saw it. They had life preservers as well on them too I think… I could swear I remember plankton and/or his antennas on there somewhere, but in this weird almost CRUSTY art style, maybe some of the others as well but more realistic versions of them…? I really truly believe it wasn’t a bootleg and wasn’t just some aquatic themed generic weird puzzles

I have a theory of finding the calendar scene - I remember YEARS ago pirating The Social Network when it was in theatres as a kid and it was either a screener or like a final draft (it said not for public viewing paramount or something on it). The site that leaked the 25 images or something must have got it from a screener perhaps or some sort of similar confidential. Trouble is finding one, probably would have easily been found on torrent sites in 2004 when it was in cinemas. These are probably so long gone and dead. I googled Spongebob Squarepants The Movie screener and saw someone has a copy of some VHS screener? Anyways if there's some way of finding some sort of screener it might still have that bit. Long shot and hard to find.

With finding merchandise like these, always go with either an ebay lot or a foreign country websites that are similar to eBay. With those colorbok prototypes being made probably around 1998 or 1999 since they came out in 2000 are old and possibly extremely hard to find, depending on if the company is still alive there is a chance they did keep them. Because I highly doubt that private collectors have them. Also with patchys SpongeBob room. The props are possibly stored by Nickelodeon and won’t come out anytime soon to the public. Unless they give show it in their office in some sort of display.

About the cut calendar scene from the movie, wasnt there a similar scene at the start where Spongebob apologises to his calendar when he’s talking to Gary about becoming manager/the opening of the Krusty Krab II? maybe thats what affecting memories idk

They probably intended it to be part of a running gag and simply cut the calendar scene for time. You can tell from watching the trailers and promos that there was content cut from the movie in the months leading up to the release, such as SpongeBob dramatically walking to the Krusty Krab in the opening dream sequence.

I believe it's from a flashback scene of SpongeBob moving into his pineapple for the very first time. As I remember he's walking with a realtor and doesn't find any houses in town he likes. The pineapple falls off the boat on top of Squidward in his garden which was in the plot and he chews the shape of the door out.

I remember going to theaters back in 2004 to see this movie with my neighbors son Nicholas, whom I used to babysit, and I do remember seeing the callendar scene, because I remember telling myself that hearing the callendar scream and SpongeBob apologizing seemed goofy, even by SpongeBob standards. I also remember hearing mr. Krabbs sound like he was swearing when whispering to SpongeBob, because as soon as I heard it, a seven year old Nicholas heard it too, and commented "did he just swear?" I told him no, but I myself had my doubts. Looks like we may have been right.

i remember watching this video with my class i believe it was a PSA or something in preschool (this preschool being attached to a church) or in kindergarten both of which are in Indiana. i remember it followed a family and a fire broke out in their house all i really remember is the kid of the family had a friend over who stayed in the house to call 911 and got stuck so there was a scene towards the end where a firefighter came in and saved her plus a scene of the father being held back by other firefighters from rushing in to save the girl. the quality was decent from what i remember though the flame affects where realistic at all. i believe is was a PSA no clue when it was made though but i saw it around 2014-2015 maybe even 2013. if anyone has any ideas what it is id really like to know cause its been bugging me for a long while thanks in advance if you see this

15:06 So prototypes either wind up in; a) the bin (this is how they wind up on taobao and eBay though, they are stolen out of the trash particularly if it's a larger/well-known company. This is also where factory seconds come from) b) they remain with their designer or may be passed onto their designer's family/kids. This is how they wind up being found secondhand or at estate sales. c) they are stored in an internal archive at the company (Mattel and Hasbro are both known to do this) and shown off at toy fairs/hobby events from time to time. d) the company intentionally destroys them. This is far less common in the modern day due to burning plastic-based waste being discouraged (the method of destruction was usually incineration). You can't generally 'melt down' prototypes (as materials like resin and plastic clays can't be reconstituted), and recycling more completed ones (with paintwork/etc) is normally far more effort than it's worth. If anything is being 'melted down' it is likely referring to the steel master moulds, spray masks or other metal parts used in a production setting.

I remember reading of the first Spongebob movie having a conceptual Rocko's Modern Life cameo that never made it to the final film. After all, most of Spongebob's animation staff, creator included, came from Rocko. But I can't remember if that was debunked or not. If it existed as a concept drawing or storyboard or just whispers amongst the animation team.

Hey LSSQ, i am not sure if this is lost but i vividly remember playing some kind of smash bros game but with spongebob characters instead, i remember mr krabs, pearl and squidward being in the game with a few platforms for the characters to jump and fight on. on the website, there were other games like one was for fanboy and chumchum. probably somewhere between 2012-2014.

I remember a scene from a episode that I saw on Nickelodeon (2011-2013) It was less than 5 seconds, it was a greenish patrick with glowing eyes getting shocked by a Jellyfish, when he was getting shocked, his bones were "exposed" (those bones were realistic, not cartoonish) it was animated in a 3D like animation (which isn't any of those special episodes) I remember turning on the tv, it was the first thing I saw when I put the channel, but weird enough, after that it appeared some special episodes about Fairly Oddparents (the episode wasn't complete)

I wonder if there’s any cut scene in the movie that are fully animated,We see tons of animated dialogue before in the trailers that aren’t in the movie.Viacom did this with a couple animated properties (Beavis and butthead).

I seen and had the same cd with the calendar scene in it i remember seeing that seen vividly as I grew up watching movies repeatedly cause I didn’t have a antenna or cable lol

I have a faint memory of watching the SpongeBob Atlantis Squarepantis air for the first time and it was like a completely different episode? I couldn’t tell you what was different about it but maybe it was the patchy segments? Does that make sense to someone?

i saw the spongebob movie airing on nick back then and it was censored. also the spongebob cheerios commercial doesn't exist
