Most Mysterious Song has been my little pet since I live in Germany and began my career as a radio archivist. I _knew_ the answer was very plain, but the piece of documentation just needed to be found. It's not surprising to me how quickly it all came together once the old stuff was seen. I feel like 2025 will be such an amazing year for Lost Media. It's not a niche nerdy thing anymore. Trendy eyes toward these searches will uncover things so lost that most don't remember the existence at all!

It was a constant revisit for the longest time I even went through over 30 mix tapes that were a mix of European and German musicians and musical groups I always have my mix tapes labeled properly it wasn't in my collection but I did have a few songs from Fex I was so close yet so far away

12:50 Technically, that same vampire Otis image (while still not being a fully body image) is used on the title screen of the online game Back at the Barnyard: Creepy Candy Craze from 2008. There's also a fully animated model of vampire Otis who the player plays as in that same online game. Plus the game over screen has a different image of vampire Otis disturbed by the sunrise of November 1.

I am so glad that the E3 2010 Paper Mario trailer was found, this is the first piece of lost media that I was actively searching for so it feels so incredible that it was actually found. I think it was interesting how it was twice as long as we thought it was since the clean audio recording from NWR was only half of the length.

Nah man, the finds this year are way bigger than a Sesame Street episode. The main difference being Sesame Street is a big name, so stuff from that will show up sooner or later. The things that showed up this year are all more obscure things pop culture-wise, so it's more impressive that they were found. The Backrooms was just some non-descript office interior, no reason to think that would ever be found, and yet here we are. No reason to think some evidently D-list celebrity would be found. No reason to think a bunch of obscure songs would be found. And yet these things appeared.

This was looooong before internet culture was pop culture, the internet had it's own distinct and separate subculture, and just as with any subculture that wasn't mainstream it was a fair target for jokes, mockery, and misunderstanding. Today we have shows that will bring something made on the internet and show it on mainstream media because it's all pop culture. Back then they looked into internet culture from the outside, and internet culture was firmly considered to be not of pop culture.

Oh yeah, btw not mentioned here, by the near end of 2024, to anyone's barely notice, a extremely rare logo has been found after 22 years of being hunted for and 42 of being lost, and the infamy of endless recreations by the community, the elusive T.A.T communications logo. It's really a MASSIVE find because it was pretty much the holy grail of the logo history community, and after all, it was a piece of lost media that was nearly impossible to find as the company was BRUTALLY plastered by 4 whole companies, and searched for about everywhere even in archives, colleges and libraries.

Also I hope LsupersonicQ reads this (he prob won’t) but my dad’s friend might know where that giant green ogre is. The one that was in Syracuse. My dad watches these videos with me and he remembers that ogre and then he was talking about how his friend was at a yard sale a few years ago and another house had the ogre but it was completely disassembled. But you could tell it was the ogre because it had the face. I don't think he remembers where it was but he remembers seeing it though. (Also it wasn’t for sale).

There are a couple of other gaming lost media releases that i can think of that released late 2024. There was a Wii build of the Free Radical Star Wars Battlefront 3 which was found which is the most complete to date with the campaign being fully playable. There was also a cancelled dlc for Call of Duty Black ops 2 which would have remastered the cod zombies maps from waw and bo1 which had its beta version leaked.

I had some ideas for Lost Media to be found in 2025 and should be found: The official Tokyo Toy Show build of Sonic 1 The full original scripts for Mewtwo Strikes Back and Spell of the Unown before they became the movies we’re familiar with (especially the latter with its out-of-place rampaging T-rex fossil) The fully-uncensored version of Sailor Mouth Playable ROM dumps of Dream 64 and Twelve Tales Conker 64 courtesy of Rare Playable versions of Nokonoko no Mori and Mario FPS SyFy’s English anime dubs from back when they actually aired anime and were called the Sci-Fi Network The whole of Late Night Black and White, as well as Lady Play Your Mandolin And lastly, a clean version of the cut post-credits scene for the aforementioned Mewtwo Strikes Back

Oh. I think Peck was Frankenstein's monster BTW. Or some other undead monster. Unless I'm thinking of an episode I forgot or something similar because it's been years since I've seen Barnyard as much I loved it. It may seem random but Peck's thing was that he was under constant near threat of death because of Freddy the Ferret who was supressing his instinct to eat him, since he was his best friend. So it could have been some fan animation or episode where it played on that with Freddy as the doctor.

There is a band version of Alison that exists by green day and there was a snippet of it on KZbin but, it now private. I then found an Alison limited edition vinyl unofficial release that says it has the band version on discogs but, it says it’s only 20 copies that exists and I can’t find it on KZbin.
