Its 2024 and i saw this video 2 weeks after it came up in my youtube feed i was 22 years old. Im 33 years old now and this is still my all time favorite honda build video to date.

I wish there were more videos exactly like this. This is one of the main videos that inspired me to learn and put together my first build. Trollers can ##%! themselves, this is a GOOD video of good guys putting together the engine they want, the way they want, and sharing it. Great editing, great music.

This is how all engine build videos should be!

+Greg Anagnostopoulos if all engine build videos were like this then there would have been no jafromobile channel which means that nobody would ever learn anything.... this is just wellfilmed, not to be mistaken with an informative or usefull video

Man, you don't play. I like your style. I was watching my nephew play with Legos, you have A Virtue my friend, an Ability, greek term for Power. this was just like my nephew, and your Talent, to make Man vs Machine was no different than watching Legos being built. you make it look ez. I should have just started with that. good work my friend
@maxherman41748 жыл бұрын
Whatever happened with this build? What kind of power did it make?
@AcuraLvR826 жыл бұрын
I like the video, but several things I would do differently. Mostly, that I would leave the intake manifold off, and leave those brackets off the motor when dropping it in. Might even consider wrapping it in a blanket to minimize damage when putting the swap in. Less stuff to worry about banging around in the process. Also, you should never use power tools installing fine fasteners in an engine, or sit anything on top the open valve cover to prevent debris contamination. I prefer to remove and install from the bottom with a lift personally, and use the hoist to gradually raise each side of the motor till the trans and engine mount bolts are in. Prefer myself to hand torque each mount to factory spec as well. I have seen the welded nut on the frame the bolt goes through get severed using impacts many times. Dont get me wrong, your video is great, but I think you will find a few of these things helpful.

I like your cars. Bone stock looking with fast motors. Subscribed !!
@MerpSquirrel11 жыл бұрын
they keep your parts clean just as much as your hands. Important when inside the valvetrain of something with things like oil pressure based variable valve timing ect. since even little bits of debris can clog those channels and cause issues.

When you work on cars for a living, they will be your best friends. After a couple of years without them you'll start to lose feeling in your fingertips from all the chemicals and wastes that may deposit into your hands. Its just a matter of opinion, but I like keeping my sense of touch.

@CopaSeticBeats It's the oil feed source for the turbo and vtec. It taps into the oil pressure sensor and T's off to head and turbo.

I have a question if I use a high compression b20 block with a b18 type r head. It is necessary to change the pistons. so that they do not hit the valves?

A catch can does not help relieve crank pressure, it helps "catch" the excess oil coming back through the breather.

I want to build a low rpm Honda Civic to increase fuel mileage to around 60 mpg freeway. I need two things. A small turbo that can produce 6+ psi at 1700 rpm. Can you tell me how I can calculate what turbo I need for my car? (2013 Civic 1.8) I also need to change the transmission ratio. What's the easiest way to accomplish this? Output shaft gear on the engine and input shaft gear on the transmission? I'd like to be at 1700 rpm @70 to 75 mph. Where are these parts sold? Thanks...
