I know Leslie Nielson has passed away now but, it's too bad they didn't make a fourth Naked Gun film having the baby son on it. Of course, it's unknown what Frank Drebin was going to do to Nordberg thinking the baby has Nordberg's genetics but, if he caught Nordberg, I'm sure he injured him very badly again and then returned back to the hospital to say "Jane, when ever did you conceive with Nordberg" while seeing his real son knowing that Nordberg didn't do anything wrong but then goes to Nordberg to apologize for the misunderstanding and helps him get better in the hospital.

Watching the end credits of this movie with such an innocent feeling, knowing that three months later, the earth-shattering murders that would forever tarnish OJ's reputation forever, not to mention that his wife and kids watched this very movie at the same time, sends a horrific chill down my spine!!!!

@rhey8616 Actually, Nordberg was innocent because Ed wheeled Jane out of the room with Jane carrying the correct baby which shows that Frank and Nordberg walked into the wrong room. Perhaps the only reason Nordberg ran away was because Frank was going to beat him up and Nordberg had to save himself from not getting beaten up since maybe Frank was not allowing him to explain saying something like "this is all a misunderstanding, maybe we entered the wrong room." Also, the only reason Nordberg gave that scared look from 0:25-0:26 is because the doctor looked at him thinking he was the father when saying "congratulations dad it's a boy" since it was an African American baby and Nordberg is African American and when the doctor looked at him, Nordberg was probably embarrassed which is why he looked at Frank wondering why he (Nordberg) was being congratulated.

@@afriendofbean It's supposed to be a joke that he starts chasing Nordberg thinking he was the dad. Why didn't Nordberg just say something right then and there? Maybe because with Frank, he has to be shown he's wrong in a certain way. Also, we are supposed to think Nordberg is the dad until Ed came out with Jane and the real baby. As to Frank acknowledging to Ed he knows it's a boy, it's because he thought Ed was referring to the black baby boy he just saw. That was the whole humor of these films. Now all three of these men have left us.

Perhaps Nordberg was going to say something but, Frank was moving too fast trying to get him so Nordberg probably would have said something as he was running away from Frank saying something like, "Frank, this is all a misunderstanding I have nothing to do with this." Also yes, when Ed wheeled Jane out of the room with the correct baby saying, "it's a boy", Frank thought he was referring to the African American baby. Also yes, Leslie Nielsen, George Kennedy, and OJ Simpson have passed away.

@@afriendofbean The thing about Frank is you have to actually show him something to prove he is wrong. Maybe that was why Nordberg ran off, knowing Frank wouldn't have listened. Also, it's a way to end the film.

Yes, Frank is probably someone who doesn't listen to instructions and while he said "I know" to Ed, he did turn around but didn't fully look at his real baby boy or to Jane holding the baby since he was focusing on trying to catch Nordberg. But here he must have been moving too fast with anger and probably kept trying to punch Nordberg with Nordberg constantly ducking and felt he had to run away and he (Nordberg) probably was saying as he was running "Frank listen, I never had anything to do with Jane especially since Jane is your wife and not mine." If Frank caught up with Nordberg, most likely he punched and kicked him beating him up causing Nordberg to get hospitalized himself (since they are at the hospital) where soon Frank might have went back to Jane and saw the real baby and apologized to Nordberg for the misunderstanding. Also yes, this is a good way to end the film even though the other endings had things like this. For example, the first film ended with Nordberg falling down stairs at a baseball stadium, the second film ended with Frank accidentally knocking the wife of the President off a balcony causing her to hang over the edge, and here on the third film it had Frank chasing Nordberg. If they did make a fourth film, it could have Frank's baby a little older and a bad guy kidnaps him and Frank and Jane had to rescue the son from the bad guy.

@paulorufalco Even though Leslie Nielsen has passed away, it still would have been great if they made a fourth film since Lt. Frank Drebin has become a father and having the baby on the fourth film would be great where on the fourth film, Frank Drebin decides to go back into Police Squad (he did say on the third film that he retired) and there was a new bad guy and this time it holds both the baby and Jane hostage against Frank where Frank shoots and kills the bad guy at the end for being a murderer and kidnapper. (Out of all the bad guys between Vincent Ludwig, Hector Savage, Quentin Hapsburg, and Rocco, Frank Drebin has only killed Hector Savage).

@Marko Nikolic Both Frank and Nordberg entered the room delivery room and Frank thought Nordberg made love to Jane where the baby had Nordberg's genetics and chased after Nordberg because of that and when Ed said "Frank it's a boy", Frank thought Ed was referring to the African American baby where Ed probably assumed Frank and Nordberg were in the room watching the baby come out but they missed it. However, it's surprising the doctors didn't question Frank and Nordberg saying "who are you?" where Franks says "I'm the husband of Jane here" and one of the doctors says "you're in the wrong room" and the real father of the African American baby says "I'm the father, and that's my wife delivering the baby."

However, I would guess that the dad was already in the room (a husband would definitely stand next to his wife as their baby is coming out) where the doctor would have a good reason to question Frank and Nordberg for entering. Unless the doctor's assumed Nordberg was maybe the uncle or any other family member.
