Man, greetings from the Honey Island swamp side of LA. I’m a recent subscriber after watching your stove videos that keep dropping in my feed. I couldn’t agree with you more on LT Wright knives, I’ve owned several and purchased way more as gifts to sons and nephews. I’m a big fan of the genesis flat A2 for bushcraft, hunting, and camp prep. The next gen for the younger fellas. The JRE sheaths hold up well even to a marine environment. I like the flat or convex grinds for kitchen work, skinning, and general purpose stuff (cutting rope, opening boxes, etc.). Anyway great video, enjoyed your take on the L T Wright GNS Scandi.

I just got my 9th LT Wright knife today. I love them all. I think the GNS is one of the most attractive blades they sell, but my go to is the Genesis. Nice video.

I recently purchased my GNS, which happens to be my second LT Wright in my knife collection. My first LT Wright knife is a Camp MUK with double red micarta scales & natural micarta liners, CPM-3V steel, & a Saber grind. With that first knife, I became a die-hard LT Wright fan. My GNS is a Scandi grind, CPM-3V Steel, Snakeskin Micarta with blue liners. With the two different designs, grinds, & relative size differences, they both compliment each other in their inherent knife design strengths. I look upon my knife collection as a well thought out, functional art collection & investment. Keep your outstanding videos coming!

Been wanting the Genesis since I got into Bushcraft... one day sir! Until then I love me my budget blades, mora Bushcraft Orange, Gerber Strongarm, and my mora robust. Great tip with the fire safety. Blessings Ernie

I've had the GNS 3V Saber grind its a batoning beast for properly sized wood. I'm thinking about picking up a Scandi version for better feather sticks.

The GNS with a scandi grind is my favorite knife as well. I have one with snakeskin micarta and red liners, in O1 steel. I not only use knives but I collect them as well, so I have a lot to chose from, including full customs, but the GNS is my absolute favorite user for the woods.

I am not a bushcrafter, I am an outdoorsman. I do have "A LOT" of knives & I absolutely love to baton with my knives. By the way that's a gorgeous knife. if you don't already have one you should look into trying out a Pathfinder knife shop knife. I have one and I absolutely love it. Take care, keep enjoying the great out of doors and thanks for all the videos you share with us. - Marco

Very nice blade! You can slowly fix the grind issue by sharpening it just on the one side until the edge is in center of blade. Take a look at the Bark River Aroua in Scandi grind CPM-3V

I have two L.T wright knives the Genesis and the Jessmuk and I really like both of them. A few knives that I would recommend are made by Habilis knives and they are the SRT, the bush tool and the pathfinder knives they are great knives

I pulled the trigger on the LT Wright Outback in 3V I saw on Cedric and Ada’s channel and wow! I just love it! GNS is nice but it’s just not me, my next knife is going to be either the Genesis or Bushcrafter in 3V. DLT trading carries a large selection of LT Wright knives BTW.

Just got my GNS in 3v. Haven't been able to keep it out of my hands since. Excellent sheath as well. $200 for the scandi version I chose, but I have NO regrets. This is definitely an heirloom knife. Gonna look into Bark River soon.(made here in Michigan) Great vid bud.

The LT Wright sheaths are bonded leather, not full-grain leather! These sheaths cannot be wet-formed... (LT Wright and Joker knife sheaths are bonded leather, not full-grain) The leather sheath is half the knife and that's why I usually purchase Bark River, Tops, and even Condor provides real full-grain leather sheaths.

The problem with LT Wright knives is the bonded leather sheath! (Wish they would use real full-grain leather rather than leather saw-dust glued together and heat treated!

I just bought a very similar knife made by BHK. It’s great, but I will say that it’s very hard to beat a 12” Ka-bar.

When you purchase a “Hand Made” vs a computer made knife you acquire human imperfections from that hand made process. They are unique one of a kind character traits unique to your knife👍

If the knife was 100% perfect it wouldn't be hand made. I have two Canadian Grohmann knives with extremely minor defects compared to Chinese-made knives which are absolutely 100% perfect. But Grohmann is handmade and China uses state of the art robotics and CNC machining. I like both, but a human touch is nice. Tell the wife it's a future investment. I live in Canada and last year the Canadian government banned the importation of all assisted opening pocket knives. As a result no manufacturers are shipping any kind of knives to Canada at all anymore so any knives that I have in my collection are now worth more money. Hopefully that might work. Ha. About fires. Check the ground for dead roots that can spread a fire.

That is a nice looking knife, but I can't see spending that much money on a knife due to my income level. I have 5 and 6 inch blades which I didn't pay that much for and they are probably better quality knives.
