My GNS came the other day. Saber ground, polished black Micarta handles. It's sick.

+PREPAREDMIND101 Nice! You should try the scandi one too. I'd be curious to know what your impressions of it especially since you've used the saber grind. Also what jacket are you wearing? It looks warm and I am in the market for a med to heavy fleece/wool pullover hoodie. Thanks!

I've never heard anyone mention this but a 90 degree knife spine is very good for scaling fish such as Bluegill and Bass.

I won the L.T. WRIGHT ROGUE RIVER from Knives Ship Free. It's an outstanding knife. Extremely well crafted and processes wood like a freaking pocket chainsaw. L.T.WRIGHT just doesn't get the credit it deserves. Seems BARK RIVER knives get most of the attention though they are a good knife in their own right. Glad to see you do a review on the L.T. WRIGHT.

I own both the Scandi and saber grind versions of this knife, and love them both. The saber grind is just the more versatile version, that is equally capable of wood and food processing. It’s certainly a better choice for cleaning fish and slicing onions.

I was talking to my manager who lives in another state this morning about knifes. He says to me. "There's a ton of good information on KZbin from this channel called Prepared Mind 101". I told him that I total agreed and that I already knew about ya Chris. Congrats on all your YT success. I thought I read that you are/were a Marine. Is that correct?

I am really really glade to hear that your first impressions of the GNS are favorable. The GNS really really looks like a sweet knife. I really do enjoy my Genesis. Once I get the bug to look for another Bush crafting knife,I will have to keep the GNS in mind.

You should try using your non-dominant hand to baton, and keep your knife in your dominant hand. It's not as critical of a task that you're going to ruin with inaccuracy, but as you do it your non-dominant hand will increase dexterity.

I was JUST looking over my options for a belt knife. Mora isn't full tang, the BOB looks a little cumbersome and has that jimping, the Genesis looked like its grind was too steep, ect. I always found a flaw. This thing looks NICE though. The grind angle seems like a good compromise between durable and precise.

I EDC the L.T. Wright Patriot and this knife looks like it's big brother, I would love to EDC this knife but I live in shitty Maryland where you would surely go to jail if caught anywhere outside of the woods with a knife that size, I wish you or Will could do a review on the patriot just so I could see what you guys think of it. Thanks

i watched Will`s vid on making the knife, i would love to know how much of the fiddling aroun with the handle adds to the cost as compared to just getting a blade blank and putting your own scales on it, i can appreciate the craftsmanship and all, but personally , i dont need a thing of beauty for a knife. oh well just saying

I just looked on their site ( www.jacklore.com/prices.html ) and the Classic is $267 for the knife and sheath. The LT Wright GNS ( ltwrightknives.com/gns.html ) is $155 for the knife and sheath. Where can you get the Jacklore classic for $155?

Anthony Ciravolo as yes you are right, i would also have shipping and import duty to uk which is expensive but yes overall more expensive.
@TacBlades
@TacBlades 9 жыл бұрын
LIVE2HUNT you would have to ask a knife maker, my understanding is the it reduced the weight and the taper allows for a perfect center of gravity just in front of the tang for balancing the knife

On the end ihave two. For over a year and one for. Five years my design. And made by kukri house. I do not. Normally. Post comments. But you seam. Really to. Loves knifes. Cost. Us 119 down from 149. Please just get one. And you will let itsleep. Next you know who. The one. And. Only BK7 but. Seriously. It's a lot of. Knife. And. The craftsmanship. And dedication. That's. Gone in to making. It if you paid. TEN TIMES. THE PRICE. ONCE. IN HAND. YOU WOULD. STILL HAVE A BIG SMILE. ON YOUR FACE. As island it's five years ago that igot. My first knife and I am still smiling. From ear to ear. Each time I pick up. My knifes. I most have. Some 280. Knifes. The kukri. House are up there with. The BEST of The best. I have some world class. Blades. BUT this is my own. Opinions. Made over 38 years. As abutcher. And collecting. Blades . Yours sincerely. William the boss leeds Yorkshire England PS you make some. Superb. Quality. Videos. THANK YOU xxx

OK Mr Tanner.... in regards to your video..."LT Wright Handcrafted Knives GNS: First Impressions" Well.....geewiz.......yeppers I'm sure that it is a solid peice. But good grief....I can walk into my kitchen and get the same "thrill" out of any of the 8 butcher blades in my block there. There is just not any "cool" factor. And one can indeed have cool....along with function. The Jessica-X of your creation is proof of that. For example...I really respect Dave Canterbury....but he has, at least for me, now retreated about 200 years into the past to be really useful to me....I'm sad to report. It seems to me that there is a trend on youtube....if one of the powers to be says this is cool...well then most will say that is so. Again...for me... with any solid knife, it would be something along the lines of your up coming Jessica-X...or my Schrade 9N or 17. I'm not a dancing troll....I love your efforts and I subsribe. With all respect from southern Arizona...... God Bless.

Seriously?? Comparing this knife in ANY way to a kitchen knife is abomination. My friend......I doubt you have a butcher block full of 01 tool steel kitchen knives with polished micarta handles, if so you are indeed COOL! Its ok if you prefer a less traditional look, there are other choices like the BK16 or Esee4 that will do the job in very tacticool fashion. Personally I think a traditional looking knife made from state of the art materials is super cool. I do however agree with you about the group think mentality RE: all of this bushcrafting rage going on,, as if you aren't one of "them" if you aren't squatting in a loin cloth striking a flint off the back of your knife C'MON man don't you think Davey Crockett would have stepped over his own mother to get at a bic lighter?
