Love your videos thank you. I made my first hydrosol today and everything seemed to work perfectly BUT…I was afraid to take it apart and clean it for fear of pressure in the column. I waited for hours for it to cool down before taking it apart. Could you please create a short video on the safe and correct way to end a distillation process? Many thanks.

Do I keep the temperature on the stove on high the whole entire time or is ok to turn it down a little bit after it gets boiling? Great product and design, by the way! I'm loving it!

Thank you for asking questions! It is recommended to lower heat after boiling started and keep boiling at lower heat can make your extraction more efficiently.

What temperature do you set your portable induction stove to? I think im setting mine too high and i have not produced any EO after 3 batches.

Jasmine flowers is better to do water distillation than steam distillation.

What if the water is not enough for the plant material, how do you add more water

Normally it is recommended to make 1 liter of high quality hydrosol from one batch distillation. With a full pot of water (2liters), it should be enough to make up to 1.5 liters of hydrosol. However in case you want to add more water after a batch, you can stop it, cool down and refill it with water then repeat distillation.

It is working under normal pressure and the water boiling temperature is 100C.
