Thanks for your reply , I appreciate it my other question -if you allow - is the temperature of steam should be stable, 100 Celsius in all process time , or as you said in the video you should reduce heat after while , the flow circle of water could reduce the temperature.

Hi, this is a good question. There are some research on effect of temperature on yield using microwave assisted distillation. By using steam distillation under normal pressure the temperature of steam will be stable, 100 Celsius so the change in heating power won’t change the quantity or quality of oil but they will change the duration of time of distillation. Lower power will make it longer. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi there are two groups of sulfur possible in water. Sulfite is salt which can be removed by distillation. Hydrogen sulfide is volatile and it can be vaporized during distillation. Hydrogen sulfide has rotten egg smell. You can notice it.

what happens if the pressure inside is too big? will the pot explode

Pot has a pressure relief valve. If pressure built up the valve will make whistle and user should turn off heat right away. When operating following instructions there should not be pressure inside pot. Use loose herbs and no powder. Good question!
