Hey Mrgrouchyguy, I don't know a ton about quads, but i know on my 2-Stroke KTM 380 that 2nd or 3rd gear makes for one hell of a launch, you might need to feather the clutch alittle to keep the power up. Skip first gear completely, it also helps with the mis-shift problem from 1st to 2nd. lata bud.

It has a set of Protaper bars and a set of aluminum mounts with the stock stem. mounted just fine lots of clearance. The mounts really didn't raise it much 3/4 inch or so maybe if that.

Well My Son just picked one up trading it for 4 cords of firewood its not stock has a pipe and silancer its fast as heck should eat everything for breakfast In my 20s I Had a Banshee that would eat LT500s Alive but mine was the only bike that would do it a CR500 Couldnt even touch me .. Also this guy cant ride.. He shifts before the Power Band comes on..

+antonio corlito Not mad at all. If you look at my other vid where I raced another Raptor it wasn't much of a challenge took him no problem. This guy has to have hot cams or some other kind of motor work done, when I got the jump on him and he still passes me with no problem and starts getting way out front without any issues somethings up. I am in no way a pro rider by any means but I'm not that slow either. Thanks for watching tho.

The Zilla is not running correct, properly tuned and good running it'll beat that 700. Age has nothing to do with speed, my 1986 CR500 still beats brand new dirtbikes that are 30 years newer.

Lucas Cohan there was no short shifting I had the p.o.s pinned in every gear. has been sitting along time and finally checked the compression 105 cold 112 warmed up it should be 150-160. sooo many people commenting think they know the answer for everything think they're sooo much better than everyone else engine was rebuilt when I bought it but who ever did it did a shit job plus maybe my 3rd time now it in 20 plus yrs so who cares don't like it don't watch

To be hones't I haven't really touched the motor since I bought it. The guy I bought it from his bough a big motor head rebuilt it after blowing out 4 gear in Idaho. A few things were looked at but most likely less than more. would really get it fixed for next yr or self off had lots of fun on it despite lack of power.

I have a 2004 Yamaha Blaster , stock bore , it's been ported and polished , bigger carburetor, v-force reeds & a bunch of other stuff. A few years ago at our local winter carnival they had ATV drag racing, run what you brung. I was beating alot of bigger bore quads. Feeling confident I went over to this guy whom I thought was on a lt250. When we were at the line he said you know this is a quadzilla right. 😮 Well lets just say I smoked him and he and his group were shocked! So we did best of three, yup beat him every time!!!🏁🏁🏁 I always start in 2nd gear. I agree this guy is not even hitting the power band. As long as he's having fun, who the fuck cares. 😎

Being honest those 500's aren't as fast as you would think for a 500cc two stoke. Stock it should beat damn near anything but it's honesty not that fast. If heavily modified you better watch out but mod for mod it wont even beat a banshee.

Don't race new raptors they'll eat a stock zilla. They have 20% more power than older raptors. I got a 2016 700 and it definitely has a lot more power than my buddies 09 700 with exhaust.
