Deadbeard's shotgun is goated in every game it's in. it kinda makes me wish there was a legendary upgrade that removed his sniper shot and gave him more health so you could be a purely shotgun pirate...

@@princenatureleaf2552 the numbers are just counted really weirdly and inconsistently, if all bullets hit it should deal the same amount of damage up close or afar, as there's no bullet dropoff in BFN.

Bfn pirate’s barrel blast can also be used defensively to block incoming damage that would normally burst damage your ass back to the character select screen, since the barrel’s hp pool is separate to your own. The most applicable example would be using barrel bast to block swoop slams since it has an obvious tell and is normally very lethal to you, even with full overhealth, however hitting the left bumper will basically put up the “fuck your ‘instant kill that always hits’ attack.” shield that is necessary to have when playing with children.

There is an upgrade for his shotgun that makes it not spread out nearly as far, making it even more accurate and reliable at close range but also a monster at medium range, where he most often gets killed because of his sniper taking too long, but his shotgun also only hitting 4 bullets, especially when up against homing pea users
