Sir ji agar humare column ki size 1000 mm ho to bhi cutting length 4920 mm hi aa rahi h .toh Kya cutting length column ki size par depend nhi karti Kya......????? Cutting length = L + development length - bend = 3000 + (2x50x2)-(2x2x20) = 4920 .... Not depend column size....??

For a beam, Side cover 30mm ok. But end cover up to main bar hook should be = minimum clear cover + column tie dia + clear spacing between bars. Otherwise U-shape bar can not be installed between the column cages. Bend deduction depends on the diameter of the mandrel used in bending machine, which again depends on the nominal diameter of bar. For bars up to 19mm dia, deduction 2d is acceptable, but for bigger dia, deduction= D+2d-0.25*pi*(D+d) D=inner dia of bend = dia of mandrel in bending machine d= nominal dia of the bar
