You bring the sounding like a membrane keyboard and the non-tactile feedback, as a negative thing, but to me, even as a middle-aged gamer, this is a positive thing!

@PandemoniuM_123 ultimately, keyboard sound & feel is a bit like art...highly subjective and in the eye of the beholder. That said, if you are willing to spend $200+ on a Logitech keyboard, I'd encourage you to look around a bit as you can get substantial value through other brands like Kechron, NuPhy, DrunkDeer and many others. Gamers can get a ton of keyboard value for $100 to $150. Appreciate the comment. 👍

I had overpriced mechanical keyboards from Corsair and Logitech and one day, after the stems on the keycaps of my G915 started to break I was like f it, I’m gonna buy a keychron. Man. I felt like I was cheated by these gaming brands for a lifetime. I bought a $100 keyboard that felt SO MUCH better than anything I had used in the past. It was an eye opening experience. I wouldn’t recommend the G915 keyboard to anyone.

@thrash1337 The mainstream gaming gear companies charge a steep premium for mediocre gear today. Unfortunately, these companies have tied their brands more to massive marketing campains (that are expensive) than actually building highly competitive gaming keyboards. 1,000% agree with you. Gamers don't need to spend hundreds of dollars today to get an excellent gaming board. NuPhy, Keychron, DrunkDeer, etc. are all delivering excellent keyboards at affordable prices.

I have the regular 915 and love it. Some of my key caps have had the finish wear off. Id easily consider this when I go to replace mine. Sure there wasn’t many updates, but it was near perfect before already…

@Krysco51 I used the original G915 for a few years...at its launch, it was not a bad keyboard for its price. Unfortunatlely, Logtiech has fallen way behind on keyboard tech.

@VarjoPira LOL...and you may be right. Really don't know what is happening at Logitech, but every product over the last couple years are 2-years behind the competition.

@mynusten The licences, IP collabs and market shares left them confused. They forgot who they are making products for - and that that audience tends to have higher standards than your average shopper. Or, like many before them, they took a dive chasing after the mythical unicorn that is M O D E R N A U D I E N C E S . My guess is both, bred by a healthy dose of complacency.

@@VarjoPira very solid insight. Didn't think of the overhead Logitech built into its products, but definitely agree that caused the company some serious profitability problems. I've noted a lot of streamers have moved away from using Logitech products...because the $$$ ran out. Hopefully, with new management, Logitech will get back to its roots.

Bummed about the switches. The whole point of a tactile switch is the tactility. Actuation force seems very low too. Double shot PBT would otherwise have seemed a worthy update. My G915 has some keys where the paint is starting to come off. Unfortunately, it looks as if the new caps can't be used with the old model. Think I might try the Keychron K5 Max at some point.

@HeadPack the OG G915 keycaps were made of a lower quality ABS and my fonts wore-off quite quickly. I never thought about transfering the G915X keycaps over to the original model, but thanks for trying. At $229, that is about the only highlight for the 915X -- the doubleshot PBT keycaps. Logitech nailed the top coating, but curious if the keycaps will pass the test of time. I'm testing the NuPhy Air75 HE right now and, so far, its pretty good. Due note, though, the magnetic jade pro switches are pretty heavy (probably 60 gram range)...that's my preference. I know a lot of gamers prefer the very light, linear, speed switches. Appreciate the comment.👍

just bought one for around 120 dollar in germany i hope this is becoming a good replacement for my black widow chroma since keys are failing to workd and not talking about the leds

i wish i wasnt stuck with having to get this keyboard, i cannot operate without the side keys but sadly there are no other options for low profile keyboards with side keys PS: the RGB is waaaaay off and inaccurate compared to the wired g815 i have

@koodle7 as long as you can buy the keyboard at a substantial discount, then it should be workable. When it launched, the G915X was priced at $229, which is way over priced. Low profile really limits the options, for sure.

I'm still disappointed with the g915 tkl, they should have given it the macro keys on the left side. I recently bought a redragon with that layout and will be putting half height switches and low profile key caps on it, for around $100.

@JGioia12 The RedDragon mod sounds fantastic! Logtiech Keyboards are mightily unimpressive for the price. Let me know how the RedDragon goes after you get it mod'ed.

@nastyagablovska9300 if you are locked into the Logitech eco-system and don't need media keys, I would definitely recommend that G515. The G515 is a substantially better value and a better typing experience. If you are open to exploring other brands, I'd steer you to other companies like NuPhy or Keychron. Both companies are innovative and deliverying substantial value across a number of work & gaming keyboards. Hope this helps. 👍

@nastyagablovska9300 Typing experience will always be linked to the keycaps, switches and internal sound materials. Neither the G515 or G915 are that great and are really overpriced. If you want a really good, all around keyboard for both work & gaming, I would check out Keycrhon. Keychron has endless options and once you narrow it down, you can check out a couple reviews. I haven't done any Keychron reviews, but I have used them in the past and they are quite good. NuPhy is very good, too, but I am not a fan of its cramped full-sized keyboard layout. Keychron as more traditional full-sized keybaords.

I returned this keyboard yesterday. Keycaps, low profile, and macro keys are great, but g hub is horrible and unusable. Build in memory is some kind of fake. You can't use macros with it.

At this price point, the G915X is a hard pass. It’s really sad as Logitech used to rule the gaming roost. Not today…
