Hi Dr. K. Thanks for the video Dr. K. The switching loss (0.5*Pon*ton + 0.5*Poff*toff) you mentioned at 22:30 should be multiplied by the frequency, right? Otherwise, the units are of energy, not power.
@powerelectronicswithdr.k10173 жыл бұрын
Naveed, yes that is correct. You would multiply that by the switching frequency to get the total loss. Actually you divide by the switching period (which is the same as multiplying by the the frequency) to obtain the average loss over the time. Thank you for watching. -Dr.K

Hi Dr. K, I did the same thing to add the SiC model, but when I open the Ltspice, it doesn't show the component. I tried restarting and reinstalling the software, model update, and software update, but it didn't work. Can you please help me? I am running the software on Mac.

Thank you Dr K for demo the SiC MOSFET spice model. I tried the CREE model before using SImetrix. Were you able to extract the model and adjust the internal Rds ON resistance ?
@powerelectronicswithdr.k10173 жыл бұрын
Hi Thanh, you are welcome. I did not investigate the CREE model to see what could be tweaked. Something for another video perhaps. I maybe switching over to PSpice. TI is now providing that for running simulations. -Dr K

Hello Dr. K, I used the bare die CPM3-1200-0075A.lib with nmos_die.asy, but the simulation have some error "u1:gmos:e5: unknown circuit node:"u1:gmos:s" requested in behavioral source". How to correct the model? Thanks

Thank you for this video sir. I want to ask, in the video you have taken Vgs as (-4/15) V. While in the datasheet of the same SiC, max. Vgs is (-8/19)V. When can we take this max. value? One more thing, can we do the same simulation process for GaN-based devices?

Hello, these models are not part of the base LTSpice package will have to be added as was done in this video. -Dr. K

What would you like to see? I do need to do a series of videos on 3=phase PWM inverter design along with the AC filter design equations.
