Wow, this video certainly resonates. I will be 47 yrs old next month, born and raised in the 2*2 cult, it was certainly taught and lived out in our home and area that we be "doormats." Since leaving the 2*2's, 2 yrs ago one of the things I have wrestled with the most is understanding that when we stand up and share the TRUE gospel, when we share the truth about Jesus, that we aren't wrong, we don't have a "wrong spirit." I was told as a child that when we create boundaries and tell someone "no", we have a wrong spirit. If we questioned the workers, or had questions about the bible we were told we were being difficult. I am THANKFUL that God has cut away the OLD and there is NEW life, NEW life in Jesus, NEW life in understanding that God is LOVE, that God is merciful and that the grace of God is the greatest gift we have ever been given.

God revealing his Grace to me changed my whole life. I was in meetings 33 years and I started questioning what Grace is and what worship is. Well the answer didn’t come from the friends or workers it comes from searching the Bible and finding out what truth really is. Thank you for another helpful podcast.

The worker version of grace is hearing the true gospel preached by true "servants" who "..all of them sacrifice everything actually and literally for the Gospel’s sake and apart from this willingness to make this supreme sacrifice, none could have a part or lot in this ministry." Jack Carroll, 1932. They are understandably disappointed by God's free Grace.

Galatians attacks works based! I love it ❤ Oh foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you? I was a foolish Galatian. 50 years ago. But don’t know much at 20 years old. (And rebellious) . The hymn 324 “Jesus- Like in all you do” The poem says”To aquire” implies that Jesus-like is something we work at/for. 11:20 Like how you brought out the poet said “Grace is an attitude to possess. Grace is their works. Don’t give credit to the character of the Almighty. That’s why it’s important to realize that God in his Grace sent his only begotten son. (This was done only once) Not just a human son, but himself as human to live in the world. I agree that you said; Grace- what we don’t deserve (salvation) Mercy- what I do deserve (eternal damnation, wrath) They do go hand in hand! Praise God! A worker is quoted in the book “Has the truth set you free” p 190 The blood of Christ is the ministry and church in the home….. But the forgiveness of sins is a fringe benefit.”

My grace is sufficient. It's from God. It's when something is seriously missing that God's grace helps you to carry on.

I do find it strange how people in the meetings say Jesus. I wonder were that came from. They say it that way here in canada also.
