Some good points by Demisse. The jornalist needs to prepare more when she meets such professionals in order to get more in-depth look in to ideas! Demisse needs to correct or clarify one thing though which is the fact that the biggest number of seats in the house of federation is taken by the southern nations and nationalities region and not by the oromos or amharas. In fact this makes the constitution a bit undemocratic since both the majority and the minority are under-represented. This fact together with severe lack of division of power (i.e. the House of Federation takes the role of Judiciary, budgeting and many more) makes the Ethiopian constitution inconsistent and to a good extent unconstitutional in itself. And since we don't have a fully separate Judiciary, we can not weed out such inconsistencies in our constitution and make any good progress.

If your answer is yes, you should have found Fasil Nahum's book titled "Constitution for a Nation of Nations: The Ethiopian Prospect [Fasil Nahum] . Please go to Amazon and get it and read: www.amazon.com/Constitution-Nation-Nations-Ethiopian-Prospect/dp/1569020515 . You were asked about Constitution and you talked about civil law, particularly about compensation for damages. Did you fail to understand the question or lacked the knowledge to answer the question and diverting the question. Man, we are not interest in what you are doing in the U.S., we are interested in and care about what you bring to Ethiopia. we you said you lived in the U.S. for more than 30 years and expert in constitutional law, I expected a lot, we heard the same complain which we used to hear from any other ordinary person, but no new idea, no problem identification, no recommendation.
