Hello Robert, I'll check the earlier video for your comment. If I was younger and wanting to stay in Europe, I'd seriously consider Czech, it's a country on the up, its people are friendly and proud of their country and ancestry, there are plenty of importunities for those who are prepared to learn the language and work hard .... hmmm sounds a bit like the UK before the lunatics took over and decided to try and make Brits feel guilty about the actions of their predecessors, you know the kind of people they are demonising .... the very people who made Britain great. Neil's channel is in a difficult situation, it's not quite big enough for him to be able change things like the in video advert spacing, but big enough for google to place adverts and sadly in Neil's case there are too many adverts and that is what is causing him to become a little hot under the collar 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃.

Hello Roger, I took the opportunity to mount a camera on the lamp bracket to get a different view because there are very few old carriages with a balcony left running on the main line today. I'm glad you enjoyed the ride 🙂.

Hello Hans, the rails on the branch line from Krupá to Kolešovice were very rusty, I think it must have been many months since the last train used the line, I think most local people assumed the line was no longer used, so the engine driver used the whistle to warn of his approach, especially when crossing the open road crossings. I had to turn off my *PRIVACY GUARD(Ad-Blocker)* to watch this video and at about 14:20 or so, an ad interrupted the video. Hey Tim, are you getting even a small percentage of the money KZbin is raking in off your videos? And did Google finally cough up what they owe you?

Hello Neil, when I uploaded the video, KZbin placed an ad every 7 minutes, I removed all be 2, one at 14:46 and another at 37:54. The mid roll ads increase earnings by about 5%, not really worth the effort, but I discovered that if I take all the mid roll ads out the video is not recommended as much by the algorithm, leading to less views. Another major problem is channels that pay to boost the number of times a video gets recommended, as a rough guide 20 US Dollars buys 20 000 extra recommendations and those recommendations push channels like mine who don't pay to boost recommendations further down the queue and to give an idea of how badly it affects channels like mine, this time last year I was getting around 500 000 views a month, now it is down to 175 000, a big drop and on top of that KZbin is keeping back 30% of my earnings to hand over to the USA tax man. My channel is no longer viable; I am now paying 3/4 of the cost of making these videos out of my own pocket. My trip to India at the end of next week is likely to be my last overseas rail trip, I booked the trip before KZbin messed me about over USA tax. A couple of weeks ago the USA tax man approved my channel to use the tax agreement between the USA and the UK to avoid being double taxed. Then out of the blue they asked me to provide a UK tax residency certificate which I applied for and received a couple of weeks later, I scanned and uploaded it to KZbin/ Google expecting that to be the end of my problems, sadly the USA tax man said the certificate wasn't genuine, so I went back to UK tax man to ask if they could help, they said the certificate was the genuine article, I am rapidly losing interest in this channel and KZbin as a whole. They are in it for the money and they don't care how they get their hands on it. Now they mainly recommend videos where the creators are out to grow their channels by buying recommendations, whereas in the recent past, the quality of the video led to it being recommended. I am looking at other ways to share my videos, should KZbin continue treating creators as nothing more than an expendable commodity. To compound things it is impossible to speak to anyone at KZbin. I will be handing over all the information I have regarding the USA tax man refusing to recognise at UK certificate of tax residency to my MP because that is a direct contravention of international law, hopefully they will be able to speak to a real person at KZbin, but I’m not holding my breath, KZbin are so arrogant they will probably tell my MP to get lost. Google now considers itself above the law of any government and that’s not a good situation, Google/KZbin needs to be brought down to size and made answerable to its creators. There has never been a better time for the Chinese to lunch a competitor to KZbin.

I sincerely hope your MP can help you in this situation but I honestly can't blame you for losing enthusiasm in your channel and interest in KZbin overall. *KZbin HAS GONE ROGUE!* I looked at a community post the other day from *Spirited Isle - Irish Ghost Stories* that mentioned a video sharing platform called *Daily Motion.* I hope Spirited Isle responds to me as I'd like to know more. This new platform could be the very thing we need to give Google and KZbin a *kick up their arses!*

@@neilforbes416 Like KZbin, Dailymotion's business model focuses on monetization through ads, and as such it's *not free.* However, users are limited to 96 video uploads per day, capped at a total of 2 hours of video per day. *Dailymotion also restricts video length to be no longer than 60 minutes. and video size can't exceed 2 GB.*

@@neilforbes416Without proper competition, KZbin will continue abusing its creators, especially when it comes to their wellbeing, lip service is no substitute for being able to contact a real person in a position to actually help. KZbin have something they call "Creator Support" where you type your issue into a box and get a series of pre-scripted answers that eventually take you back to where you started, at best "Creator Support" will leave creators feeling suicidal at worst creators will top themselves, what you will not get is actual help. "Creator Support", is worse than doing nothing at all. Google needs to be taken down a peg or two, because it now regards itself as accountable to no one, it has literally grown too big for its boots. It has become an out of control monopoly that desperately needs to be broken up and made accountable to its users, its creators and most importantly to governments. Creators are effectively self-employed employees of Google and as such they should be protected in the same way as employees in general. Ignoring employees and hoping they will go away is not good for anyone and Google needs to be shown up for the irresponsible way it treats creators.

@@top40researcher31 Hi, is that Neil's videos or my videos. I've just checked the ad placement in my last 10 uploads and none of them have more than 2 mid roll ads, working out at around 1 ad every 20 to 25 minutes. I have over 650 videos and KZbin automatically placed ads on my older videos although I can reduce the number of ads, it will take a long time to go through every video. If you do see one of my videos with too many ads, please let me know and I'll reduce the ad frequency. Mid Roll ads earn next to nothing for creators, but they sure wreck the viewing experience for viewers. I think KZbin are trying to make the viewing experience unpleasant in the hope that viewers will take out a paid subscription. KZbin are going to shoot themselves in the foot as people will simply turn away from KZbin.

@@Timsvideochannel1 i shoot my videos just like a home movie i don't add any titles or fancy video effect not even i like to visit small towns around my area and video much as possible i rather avoid Daily Motion and Vimeo as they want you to pay to upload your videos i rather do it for free its a great shame that KZbin is frighting people away it was once a great plaform at one stage it even has its own forum i have a few videos on my site i have to get out and do some more videos all the best tim
