Keep it coming man! He has fast become one of my favourite all time lifters. a few years ago, i didnt care too much. Like i knew who he was, and how good he was, but he was just another lifter...Now after seeing literally all your content on him, the training hall stuff, the interviews...Easily one of my favourites! Great to see him coming back here.
@apeekintime2 жыл бұрын
Crazy how "out of shape" he is compared to competition form but you can see that base layer of insanely developed muscle in his back. Like a bedrock layer of development that only comes from a lifetime of training. That kind of base layer strength is why older lifters can still be very competitive in static events - that base layer is so powerful even if it is harder to keep mass as you age.
after Lu wins his 4th gold in a roll next in Paris, we will look back at 1.5 years ago when there as a time the whole training hall was watching and rooting for him to stand up with 120 kg snatch

You can do it too. You can reach your 1 rep max within 6 weeks of training even if you rested for 2 years assuming your program is 3 to 4 days a week. I stopped for 2 years came back, strength were still there but I was grinding cause I lack training but within 6 weeks I hit a new PR lol.
@Miiiiiiighty2 жыл бұрын
@@Mikey-uu8fi No you can't unless you were weak AF to begin with ( which is probably your case ) or on massive PED's. If you could reach your PR and even beat it in 6 weeks after a 2 years break programming wouldn't even exist and pro athletes would never train until 6 weeks out to their big events/competitions. Stop spewing BS & projecting your average weak Joe performance on world class/elite level athletes. ps : Lu only stopped for a year, is on most likely back on PED's and has started to train for 7 weeks now... How has he not hit a new PR ? He is like at 75% at best of his best level, you should give his coach a call asap to explain these stupid Chinese athletes how to train !

Training for explosive power. Every exercise he does is just an accessory to snatch and C&Js
@aodoemela2 жыл бұрын
@@CrinsomYShen Still the form isn't good. The way he moves his back in the dip it's almost like kipping in the muscle up. Your back should stay in the same position and you push with your chest and triceps.
@buffboi79772 жыл бұрын
@@aodoemela they don’t really focus on form from what i’ve heard, just moving as much weight as they can as fast they can for accessory movements. you see the same thing when they do their behind the neck pull downs or tian taos weighted pushups
@aodoemela2 жыл бұрын
@@buffboi7977 Isn't that dangerous and inefficient though? So you're targeting the muscle group you actually want to target less and you risk injury trying to fling about weight as heavy as possible. I can't understand it because weightlifting is so technically then when you see them the other movements it's a wild mess.
@TheNunakun2 жыл бұрын
@@aodoemela you have to understand they're extremely flexible and more agile than the average lifter. If a weightlifter did slow, deliberate repa, they'd add too much muscle and lose strength and mobility. Now, if anyone who hasn't practiced these movements try these jerky movements, they'd just end up in snap city. Ideally, the average athlete should do slower reps with form, but Lu and many of the Chinese team are just beasts.
