WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK AT HOLLISTER!?! // INTERVIEW QUESTIONS + TIPS

This week I decided to answer all your questions regarding how to apply for a job at Hollister and also what its like to work there. I am currently a brand representative at Hollister and I am very pleased with my job there.
If any of you guys are planning on applying or already got the job please let me know in the comments! I would love to hear your experiences :)

Somethings I forgot to mention in the video:
1. Once you got the job, you will have to attend an orientation, basically deals with you getting your employee handbook, and your employee card that you will use to clock in and out of work with.
2. You do receive an employee discount at both Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch, it doesn't matter if you work at one or the other you will receive discounts at both stores.
3. You will receive a 30 minute break in you shift if you are a minor
4. Hollister only hires people who are 16+ in age.

I have applied on official site and next 2 days I went these store wich is I have applied, I met with manager I spoke about how to join them and informed them I have applied online. So manager asked my cv, where am I working, which company. The manager suggested send the email to their hr and gave to me the email address and told me wait a while. Yeah the hours are put in military time but you can just use a military converter on google. Also dont worry too much about the hours on your application because you can always go back and change it if you get the job.

Hey I just got the call saying that I’m hired and I have to go in for paperwork tomorrow but I’m going on holidays in two weeks. They didn’t ask during the interview so I assumed it wouldn’t be a big issue telling them if I got the job (which I did) but now I’m scared they won’t hire me🙃

Hey! so I am not sure how the managers will react/proceed with this situation, you may want to tell them as soon as possible so they are aware that you are going to be gone for 2 weeks. That way they don't assign you shifts yet. Hope that helps!

they mean casual clothes, nothing formal just basic jeans and t-shirts with no logos! You can wear cute denim jeans skirts too if you are into that. They basically go for a casual beachy vibe, that's the style/aesthetic of Hollister.

Sorry for the late response... I suggest you call the store just to make sure that you don't mix up your shift. Just basically to double check you know because sometimes people tell you one thing but its another. Make sure that you speak to a manager tho

I would say to go with some nice jeans, maybe a plaid shirt with a nice graphic tee under the plaid shirt! Just make sure that the clothes do have any visible or noticeable logos and you will be good. What I wore to my interview was a pair of skinny jeans with a basic white tee and converse shoes. You're very welcomed and remember Hollister is that clothing store that wants you to feel welcomed and comfortable with who you really are so for the interview wear clothing that represents who you are and what makes you feel comfortable. If the all white off the shoulder doesn't make you feel comfortable then my suggestion would be not to wear it.

So every location has a different management which means that if managers think you are a good worker they will give you more hours. With that being said pay varies in different states but usually pay for stock and brand reps is minimum wage. Managers and Brand Rep Leads get paid more but they also get more responsibilities.

Dont be nervous!! You will do just fine. And to answer your question its yes they will most likely yet you work 4 hours on the days, if you have selected them through your A&F Portal which I am sure your store manager has already explained to you. Good Luck!!!

girl honestly I would take McDonald’s I STILL haven't even had my first day the background checks forever ! They keep on having me go for like small stuff and I’m not even getting paid, but it all depends I would ask them how soon will you will be able to start I feel like McDonald’s you will get way for hours than hollister. A lot of people get nervous when they do their interview so I am sure the manager is use to seeing it, as long as you answered the questions in a very clear and unique way you are good! I feel like if you wear everything Hollister you will good. Just remember that you are trying to get the job in which you represent the embodiment of Hollister. Also there is nothing to worry or feel nervous about. The interview is quite easy and its just to see if you are a good fit for the job. Just answer every question truthfully and uniquely to who you are and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Thats a tricky question... at the Hollister I work at the managers don't care if you have a nose piercing but depending on different locations they may be more strict so I will just take it out for the interview and once you get the job, you may wear it or ask one of the managers if its cool if you can, just to be safe.

You choose your availability for your personal schedule. The manager will then see where to fit you into the master schedule for the week. Hope that answers your question! :)
