Glad that that little bit of lube made a difference. That was smart using the air compressor to force the lube down the cable. Trying to keep a yard cleaned up is a lot of work. The kind of work I shy away from. lol

As far as yard work goes, I take very small steps. A little at a time. I rode the bike today and it feels like it made a difference

Godspeed on your travel today. Glad the lub helped, before you make the ride. Sis suffered lung damage from her Chemo. Put her in the hospital and on steroids. That put her into diabetes and more meds. (Thankful that's no longer an issue.) GLAD you're getting off of them. Pray you don't have to deal with that before you get off steroids. Have a safe, blessed day, my friend.

My sugar is high because of the steroids. I’m glad they’re weening me off. I started a 60mg a day and they’re knocking me back 5 mg a week.

I’m glad that helped the clutch. Yeah, steroids are good for short term, but not good for long term. I hope you both have a blessed evening!

I rode the bike today. It seems to have made a difference. It might be be the steroids that are helping me shift.

There is a company called Rekluse that makes a centrifugal clutch for motorcycles. The problem is they are expensive. You almost don't have to use the lever.
@bctruck6 ай бұрын
I’ve actually looked at those. I think what I’m going to put on it next will be enough for me to go a few hours shifting.

Comment: Mickey Dees was calling so I went to lunch...20 Chicken Nuggets, 2 Mc Ribs, 2 hamburgers, fies and a chocolate shake later, Im ready for the couch potato position.

The couch potato position should be taught in yoga classes. I would attend. McRibs are my favorite sandwich.

Yeah, we don't wanna see a grown man cry while putting the clutch back together.😅 Congrats on saving 500 bucks. :)

I haven’t saved it yet. That’s my next project. I have a couple things I’m going to do in community that. The exhaust system has to come off to get to the part I need to install, so I’m going to take a look at the baffles inside the pipes and see if I can louden up the bike just a bit.

How do you like this bike compared to your green Harley?
@bctruck6 ай бұрын
The clutch is easier to pull but other than that, they are about the same.
@rdnkrfnk6 ай бұрын
couldnt you modify that clutch and swap it to the other side i know it would mess with everyone else who rides but like ya said its yours and if it works for you
@bctruck6 ай бұрын
I could, but every time you pulled the clutch, you’d hit the throttle. Sounds exciting but I’m too old for wheelies and surprises.

$500. for an hour's work? Lotta OVERHEAD, I guess? Rent, insurance, taxes, electricity and $50. labor. You're lucky to have the mechanical skills to do it yourself. Happy Day!
@bctruck6 ай бұрын
They told me 2 hours labor, so it will probably take me several, dragging my butt around on the concrete floor. They have these nice lifts that they put your bike on and raise it up to a comfortable position.
