Had a problem on my sport bike with gear selector sticking up and down and after this it’s fixed thanks for the tutorial! I was worried it was transmission for a sec

Thank you so much for the post sir! You saved my Phantom 13! Ya like I had this issue where I couldn't shift to first when coming to a stop happened when the below freezing temps hit and I thought to myself that maybe I should have warmed my bike up a little bit more but just yesterday the problem got worse when the gear shift peg got stuck and didn't want to retract back to its normal position so I pretty much lost first gear on the way to work even after I kept tapping on the peg! So I just got back from my test ride and my peg works better than when I first got it! It retracts as it should and I haven't had a false neutral either! But yeah thanks again for the video; hope this helps someone else!

Mine just started doing this today...managed to put 114 miles on it in spite of it though...but now that I'm back home, I'm gonna try this...I have an '09 Aero as well, but mine is black w/snakeskin tribal flames...stock paint only offered on the '09 year model & I happened to find one...I've had mine 7 years next month...had 5,324 miles on it when I got it, got 37,354 miles on it now...mine's bagged out & got a batwing fairing on it...I've riden it through 10 different states in all kinds of weather...most dependable bike I've got...only issue I've ever had with it is it'll wear out tires & clutch cables, other than that, it's been completely trouble free...beats the hell out of my Road King for dependability...even the '08 CVO Electra Glide I just sold wasn't anywhere near this good...both those other bikes are more powerful, but they're way more high maintenance...I always keep this one for a backup because it just won't quit...good video...new subscriber...

Nice! I love mine. And no problems with the shifter since I lubed everything. And thanks for the sub! I’m behind on uploads but will have some coming soon, plus the giveaway.

Mission accomplished...took about 30 mins including dragging out the tools & finding my grease...the hardest part was getting the rubber boots back over the ball joints...while they did need some new grease, they still moved really freely...I believe the main cause of this is the bolt that holds the shift lever on, which was probably never lubricated in the first place...that being said, it's good to go ahead & grease the little ball joints while you're there just for good measure...
