How to Beat Lu Bu in Xiapi while taking No Damage - Unlock Red Hare easy - Dynasty Warriors Origins

Some guy on Reddit challenged me to beat Lu Bu on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty without taking any damage from him (He deleted his post tho).... so I did, and with Staff, which is universally regarded as the worst weapon (It isn't.) and I will also show you how to deal with all of his moves so you can also beat Lu Bu without taking damage too and get Red Hare

When he jumps up for the slam with the bubble in front of him you can interrupt it with a jump attack instead of arrow, saves a bravery bar. I've also done no hit runs on a few weapons if you want to check it out.

I don't really like jumping after him, feels like something can go wrong if I don't get to him fast enough, shooting him will keep me from having to worrying about that since bravery isn't really that lacking

The attack with the red waves is dodgable, as long as you dodge left or right according to the side where the wave is higher. Still super hard and i prefer not to dodge it too, but it's possible

yeah, I had dodged / parried it before but I really don't want to do that when blocking is far easier. I feel for the purpose of this guide it's better to go with the easier mode

The only way dodging works with the five wave combo is to be close but out of range for a counter. You dodge into and then hit the counter do not recommend recuires crazy timing.

fastest way is using Halberd. Focuz on the combo 5 normal + 1 strong (stagger - do the bonus dmg even while he's not in "white" state, also can even break the "orange" stake without using SP arts). Hellraiser is the best Art for longest combo: Guard + Strong (aerial) -> dash, then Hellraiser (aerial) -> dash, then 5 normal + 1 strong, you'll complete this combo sucessfully if not "adding" any other movements/attack -> not recommend using while other Generals doing dmg on Lu Bu, only 1v1. (The DASH is attack animation canceling) The rest is just about timing, evade & parrying perfectly when you've fought enough time against him and being abled to read his movements precisely. AND REMEMBER 1 THING: NEVER USES "LOCK-ON" ALL THE TIME, YOU'LL BE SLAPPED REAL HARD. LOCK & UNLOCK in appropriate time, cuz this affected your camera & movement (yep, this game's camera is sh*tty, almost equal camera level of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black)

i was noticing any check point i get no matter what Camera was always kept him in a blind spot every time with Lu Bu charging up an attack with my back facing him 😑

Did it this way. Would recommend! 5N>1H>HellRaiser/Sky Crusher>Dodge worked successfully majority of the time. Once you read him well, it all falls into place.

I have no idea how you do it, I play the Steam version and when he does his 3 combo he does the orange attack right in the transition and in a direct flow, I can't dodge and counter that quickly. So when I see all the console videos I wonder if Lu Bu is sleeping there. I can do a maximum of 40%, I'm probably too bad for the rest. I'm 10 LVL above the battle lol although that doesn't play a big role with Lubu

Did you use peacebringer to brake the shield the fight is not that hard for me and I’m level 47 but that shield of his I can never break it fkn Lu bu been fighting him 3fkn hr and that shield always got me frustrated 🤦‍♂️😪

I think what happens is that they are unable to properly pronounce the word Lü so whoever is the voice director just decided to go with Louie to kinda get it Dumbest decision, if you are gonna be wrong at least make it sound good lol

Note that iirc red aura attacks can actually be interrupted by Musou Attacks if Special Battle Arts AKA Fajin Arts can't interrupt them. But from personal experience even when fighting him first time at Tiger Gaol Gate on Wayfarer Difficulty, it's not really worth it to waste a tier of Musou on him unless you have a way to build it back up fast or if he's almost dead.

If your still struggling the game actually gives a checkpoint at the point all your allies have fallen. So by taking a health potion that also affects your allies you can keep them alive longer. Meaning that you have a checkpoint much later into the fight and you don’t have to go as far back on restart! 🙌🙌
