I think Timothée was frustrated that she was so focused on him. The whole press day, the media was almost completely ignoring Taylor and he was trying to get them to ask her questions since she's the lead. But they kept doing it anyway. So, I think the media/interviewers are at fault here not Timothée.

I know it sucks when you see someone in a bad mood, tired mood, whatever, but that's all it is. Everyone is picking apart everything and it's hilarious. The interviewer was also looking straight at Timothee to answer, when maybe he didn't want to or was tired or whatever. I am a very nice person but I can see myself being in his shoes and being exhausted and trying not to make eye contact cause I just don't want to answer a question especially one so deep that will be recorded forever. everyone... chill out lol

I thinks what's wrong about this interview is the way she approaches to them, she was always like "what do you think" and looking directly at Timothee. A person should feel free to talk when he wants to and you can see he didn't want to talk that much in this one, also because there are other two people in the room.

I agree. I think the thing that made it awkward above and beyond everything else was that she pointedly asked timothee and Taylor if they wanted to add anything else. It felt aggressive and manipulative. If they’d wanted to say something, then they would have. If they’re not saying anything, then move on to the next question. And if the interviewer isn’t getting the responses she’d hoped for from these heavy, loaded questions, then she should have also come prepared with lighter questions to ask in case she needed to shift the mood. The interviewer is responsible for this awkwardness imo.

@@happybirthday6130 this is very clever. Body language always tells more than spoken words. The change in him comes at the last question as he looks to the interviewer struggling with her english. After that he is definitely thinking to st else and he clearly can't wait for the interview to end. Despite the mediocre interviewer the questions were ok and not off topic. This is by far THE ONLY ONE interview where Timmy is simply not Timmy. Nonetheless he is always great and generous with people, crew staff and fans. So... The mystery continues...

Far too deep questions for a 3 minutes interview. Luca is often (ALWAYS) annoyed by Italian press because of past experiences I think and he's "mean" enough to be ready and answer back, with a word and then leaves the room in silence building a wall between him and the others that has only a tiny litttle window. Even if he knows that italians can make interesting reasoning and ask really good questions, too... On the other hand the actors weren't prepare at all for these kind of questions from my pov, not the interviewer. The silence is due mostly to that. She wanted more than " Amazing, working with Luca is amazing. Venice, the food, the sun!" kind of answers. T.C. is usually ready for that but maybe he was just bored or whatever. Russell has been able to be more patient and to turn the conversation to an easier level. Luca was interested in what the actress thinks (----> because, actually, the questions WERE intelligent!). I thought exactly the same thing: it's an awkard interview. Yes, but why? What do you think? I really apologise for my English. I'm one of those people Luca disapproves the most: I'm Italian. ;) P.s. OOOOR, they were just tired yes. That's it.

Please see all the other interviews by her, where all other actors and actresses could interact very well and offered us deep and thoughtful reflections and discussions about their films. Chalamet actually seems to be upset by the questions and absent from the interview; maybe he wanted to go shit...what a shame. There is nothing that justifies indifference or disdain towards others, especially during a commitment. Also in those cases, a role can be played; you have to be professional.🤮
