Maybe it's residual paranoia from Inquisition, but seeing videos like this makes me think there's a banter bug. I've committed to doing a walk-only run with no fast travel, and they're all still so silent. I can sometimes ONLY trigger dialogue once every 45 minutes or so by fast traveling to the crossroads from a different map.

The game appears to be like DA2 in that there are designated banter spawn zones. There's one near the veil jumper camp; climb up the ladder near the aravel, follow the path to the fork in the road, then turn and go left. I think you may have to reload the zone to get it to trigger banter again after it's already triggered, but I've always gotten banter there.

I started my game with the intent on romancing Lucanis. But when I had to choose between the Crows and the Shadow Dragons, I hardened him. Then I chose to romance Davrin. I admit. I got a little jealous listening to these banters along the way. 😅

Oh god. There are 2 of them. I think this sparty wille exhaust me before I reach solas.
