Thank you so much Lucas and Rick for this wonderful conversation. I would like to elaborate into that but words don't come easily to me to be able to express...the inexpressible. This young soul, Lucas (or maybe not that young!depending on the past lives...) expressing and figuring out how to convey his gifted hability to the wider world. And Rick, with his fine, loving and understanding expertise asking the right questions and offering great suggestions to young Lucas. I just love the energy in this conversation. Thank you so much to both. Much love 💕

Frankly ive listened to a lot of these like minded podcasts and i feel that Lucas is the real deal whatever that is but there's something that just cliks with me anyway. He talks about humility and not believing about whomever we may of been in past lives to not let it guide us or go to our heads. Even in this life whomever we meet be it beggar or king let it not overcome our centre. Know thyself

@Batgap I have the DVD but avoided seeing it because Assisi is connected to the lost love of my life, but I know Zeffirelli. You would enjoy his Taming of the Shrew with Elisabeth Taylor and Richard Burton its a firecracker and very very funny §;-) - I lived for a month in Assisi where there are 9000 munks and nuns but only 4000 civilians. The wall are steaming with silence.... so much so that you are in deep samadhi as soon as you close your eyes....

@@19Marc79 You can rent a private AirBnB or a room in one of the monasteries. Please also go the Chapel of San Damiano, just outside Assisi, where Jesus on the cross spoke to Francis and the Porziuncola, the little chapel of St. Mary of the Angels in the plain just below the town. And also the mountain of La Verna (Alverna) The mountain would become one of his favourite retreats for prayer where he received the stigmata as the first in history. "Suddenly he saw a vision of a seraph, a six-winged angel on a cross. This angel gave him the gift of the five wounds of Christ."

We invited him and he accepted, but then he changed his mind because he was getting so much publicity from Rhonda Byrne, who produced "The Secret" that he didn't want any more publicity. Hopefully he'll do one some day.

Interviewer bro: It's important to have a beginner's mind. *someone says the earth is flat Bro: Sorry! 😅😅😅
@BatgapКүн бұрын
Not sure what you're saying. Are you suggesting that the earth might be flat and it's closed minded to think otherwise?
@bodel9541Күн бұрын
@Batgap it might or it might not be. What happened to the beginner's mind? How do we know what we know? Did we did experiments or do we just repeat what we were told in school? At the time of Buddha everyone knew the earth was flat. To this day the rituals involve flat discs of sun, moon and earth. Do we accept that they achieved enlightenment but somehow got the shape of the earth wrong? Something to think about.
@BatgapКүн бұрын
@@bodel9541 People in the time of the Buddha were ignorant about many things which we now understand. Enlightenment does not confer knowledge of all relative phenomena. As Aldous Huxley said, the greatest contribution of the Scientific Revolution was the development of the working hypothesis. That means that you don’t have to believe things because some authority told you to. You can base your convictions on empirical evidence. But empirical evidence does separate the wheat from the chaff; the factual from the fanciful. The evidence for the shape of the earth is supported by so much evidence that it is virtually irrefutable. Try predicting a solar eclipse starting from the premise that the earth is flat. In fact, look at a solar eclipse with proper eye protection. If the earth were flat, the sun wouldn’t be eclipsed. You’d see a narrow horizontal shadow across it. Do you use a cell phone, a GPS, watch TV? All of those are made possible by satellites which orbit the globe, and which couldn’t possibly orbit a flat earth. Even if the earth had started out flat, it would be a globe by now because erosion and gravity would have formed it into a globe. I could go on. Self-delusion in the pursuit of independent thinking is not an accomplishment.
@bodel9541Күн бұрын
@Batgap how do you know the earth is causing the shadow on the moon? GPS is the extension of Loran-C navigation system, a ground tower network. Why aren't bunch of 24/7cameras on the moon pointing at earth? Everyone from everywhere would see the clouds and compare the pattern overhead with the live feed. Show us the ball earth, eclipses etc, no?

How you know it's real and not just hog wash?
@coenterhaar9183Күн бұрын
Just stop trying to figure all this out mentally and simply come back to the utter simplicity of where you are: the sounds of traffic, the sensations in the body, the taste of coffee, the rise and fall of breathing, the cool breeze blowing in through the window? And if the mind says “that’s just the phenomenal manifestation, that’s not enough,” is it possible to hear these thoughts as thoughts and not get hypnotized by the picture they paint? In that imaginary picture painted by thought, there is separation, dualism and lack. And there is “me” wanting something more, something special. But in the sound of the traffic, there is no me and no separation. There is only the nondual absolute, just as it is.

there is too much personality in this young man in his language he’s missing what awaking really is he is a fine man but too much self in his chatting about self 😊

You are so frustrating. You have interviews with awakened non duality integrated humans and ridicule them to shreds. No openness to their Transmission, no openness to dive deeper. Just skepticism and ridicule. Then you get a guy like this so open to discuss awaking, past lives and spiritual progress. In my opinion this guys experience is hogwash and has no applicable experiences for the average joe. I see he charges money to have 1 on 1 and you ask for donations. Please just have Angelo Dilulo or Rupert spira on your podcast and ask them to analyze your recent interviews and channel to decide whether you should continue on with batgp or if you are doing more harm then good. I’ve liked past episodes with specific guest but it seems you are too biased and opinionated to host this type of podcast

@@Batgap to me it is just your agitated, devils advocate responses to unbiased responses to the interviewees in the past that lean towards the non-dual message that irritates me. (If you reply to this I may take the time to find examples) but you can't deny you "yes, and'ed" this guy talking about past life, unproveable self experience-fantasy scenarios like it was a fact about the current weather. While in past episodes conflicting, playing devils advocate, and questioning other's opinions about similar questions because their answers didn't align with your perspective. I'm not saying you are wrong for questioning their perspective I'm just judging your lack of doing so in this interview and others that closely relate to your own experience
@BatgapКүн бұрын
@@consciousnessofkane4155 That's a legitimate objection, whatever its degree of validity. I place little value in belief. I take every "belief" as a working hypothesis. I give credence to others' experiences that I may not have had, but I don't entirely accept or reject anything. Lucas readily admits that he is a work in progress and has much to learn. It seems apparent to me that he has had some nice experiential openings. His interpretation of them are more theoretical. To put it another way, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I take everyone with a grain of salt. Proportions vary.
