Im gonna miss Hojbjerg, even if he was never going to be a core part of the postecoglou era. Super fit, super reliable, and his stability in the backline helped to free up the attacking players to focus on their attack more. Wish him well. He did his job. And he did his job better than many other players did theirs.

Done a little bit of research, plus a bit of guesstimating and I reckon it could probably go something like this: lloris 150k, Dier 100k, Tanganga 20k, Rodon 30k, Regs 53k, Gil 40k, Royale 40k, Holberg 100k, Perisic 200k, Kane 250k, Sess 60k, Ndombele 200k, LoCelso 75k and Parrot 12k. That's a potential 1.33 million a week of the wage bill. Big money 👍🏻 COYS 💙

With Højbjerg, it’s the Nanny McPhee rule: “If you need me, but do not want me, I must stay. If you want me, but no longer need me, I must go.” I like Højbjerg. He’s an excellent player, and he’s bled for Spurs. But he no longer fits the system. It’d be nice to keep him, but if we can get good money for him, it’s probably better that he goes. I’ll miss him. At the game Lucas Bergvall misplaced only 1 pass. What really stood out was his ability to be in space and available to receive the ball. His weight of pass is terrific and he picks good options. A really cultured performance.

Pierre always showed a lot of class and spoke with decency and intelligence. When he did interview, he spoke from the heart and without typical euphemism like “give 110%” etc. he was always engaged in the convo. I think he got married and became a dad while at N17 so I hope he looks back on his time with us with the fondness and respect he showed the badge everyday. And I hope fans give him his flowers for his character and commitment. A real soldier.

Alasdair - your videos are a perfect length for a good dog walk, love seeing one come up and realise I can enjoy the walk as much as my dog. I think Spence has been superb and can play left or right. Keeping him will free up funds for the forward areas we need to improve on. Safe travels.

Wanted to add that it’s noticeable that the senior players are all working with so much more determination and focus. Biss, Madison and Deki for instance are working so hard and with so much dynamism. There in no doubt in my mind the arrival of the likes of Gray and Bergval but also the clear impact and threat of Lankshear, Moore, Devine, Hall and Donley have spooked them. All of a sudden it’s not so cosy, if it ever was. You can see a midfield of Sarr, Gray and Bergvarl starting

I wish Pierre all the best, he was always passionate about the team, gave his all, and was never injured or unavailable to play. He doesn’t fit into Ange’s style of play, but that doesn’t make him a bad player, just a poor fit for the system and I hope Marseille is a good fit for him and his family and Spurs bring in a player who is a better fit.

Thanks for the video, always a good way to start my week here in the USA! I always respected PH, but I’m glad Spurs will have players competing for the starting role of the future, rather than last year where some had to treat their starts as auditioning for their future elsewhere. Seems like a lot of the moves so far are to clear space for the race (pardon the rhyme) for multiple key positions on the field.

Thanks for the latest video, Alasdair. Enjoy your trip on tour with Spurs and looking forward to you getting lots of interviews you can share with us. Also hope you get time to do a bit of sightseeing: Japan in particular is meant to be amazing. I wish Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg well in the future. It seems a good outcome for Spurs. While always a great servant to the club, one would think that his best days are behind him and with a queue of young players waiting to get into the team, it makes sense for him to go elsewhere. A lot of positives from the QPR game. Nice to see Manor Soloman starting to look good and Jed Spence making an important contribution. Some nice moments also from Devine and Moore. My question for Ange, is there a minimum achievement for Spurs this season that will satisfy his ambitions or will anything less than the PL title a disappointment?

Lots of encouraging signs in terms of the actual football we're playing but the elephant is still in the room. We're a 9 short and it'll really hurt us if we fail to sign one.
