Oh yes! That’s one of my favorite scenes from Season 8. It was monumental in their relationship. Elizabeth took a huge step forward by holding his hand publicly and telling Lucas that she wanted him to share everything with her. 🥺❤️ Then you see them happily walking hand in hand. It’s like the equivalent of “riding off into the sunset”. It was perfect.

I have been team Lucas all around and all along so I am happy at the result and I think the most important thing is that it was the right decision for the writers to have made for the series in this fictional story line. I am sure there will make sure that Nathan is very happy and find true love next season as well. Remember this is about the good of the series not necessarily team Nathan versus team Lucas, although that's what we all made it. We all need to just go with the flow and trust the writers. They have made this show a topknotch show with incredible writing for these amazing actors. Let's trust the moving forward into season 9 and enjoy!

Lucas basically bought Elizabeth's affection. I knew she would choose him, he and his Mother was the best choice for her writing career. How did she choose a man that was totally opposite of the man she married. Jack was compassionate, loving, helpful, brave, risk life and limb for others, honest, respectable and loved by all the citizens in Hope Valley all the traits Nathan possess. Lucas is a charlatan but Elizabeth can't see past him being good for her writing career to see who he really is.

I think the best part of the courtship was watching her slowly open up and smile again. It seemed genuine and it was like she was able to overcome her fears with his gentleness and his patience for each step that she needed to take. I just think that was thr best part . Thank you for putting this together. It has been such a beautiful journey for them so far and while I liked them together from the start, I wasn't entirely satisfied how itheir dynamic centered around what was right for her. I like how Elizabeth is more attentive to Lucas's needs this season. Lucas lets her know where his wishes may be different from hers while still assuring her he plans to be patient. She needs to know that. Their relationship is more balanced this season, they take care of each other. A true partnership.

Lucas has always been the one who was more forward in showing his affections to Elizabeth. Never pushing, but being patient and always making sure it was her choice. I love how this season, we see Elizabeth taking the reins in showing him how she feels and how she’s also invested in this relationship. A beautiful partnership indeed ❤️
