Great analysis, I've always liked his swing. Neat to see him putting well and beating everybody.

Great to hear accurate discussion of how the shallowing happens. I.e., not through external rotation, but mainly through supination

Thanks Wayne. I've been a Glover fan for 20 years. And been watching your videos almost as long. Great to see you do one on Lucas.

His swing is more contemporary, that means different to Ben Hogan. The most obvious difference is the extension of the belly. It should goes out of the leading leg.

Hogan said he felt like he was "running at the ball"....and Lucas Glover comes the closest to that IMO. Justin Thomas and Scot Scheffler with their feet slipping all around into impact seems to be something that can not be consistent over time. Glover's leg and foot work is something to be copied, if possible.

Butt of the club never faces the camera, seems like alot of pros are doing that

Should have been a Ryder Cup pick IMO great swing! THNX How low is that finish!. Crazy how his head drops so much in the takeaway. ... The leg work seems to be the key to me...he really digs in with that trail leg into impact, and with the pop from his lead hip clearing those hands fly

Have followed Lucas for years as well as Ben Hogans. I take issue with the fact that Ben's swing path and hips finished well left of the target. This, I believe is a result of a super firm right hand grip in the down swing and a soft left hand grip to just balance the swing. That's why Hogan wrote that he "wished he had three right hands" Hogan played a natural fade or straight ball flight and worked harder to play the draw ,but could. Early in his start he fought a hook until he found the swing that got the club across and in front of him in the dowswing. Just my take!

top 10 in fairways hit in like the last 10 years?

I have seen quite a few players who were great ball strikers lift their toes on the right foot on the backswing, but not sure if I have seen any other great ball strikers lift their left toes, would definitely have to be someone who doesn’t lift their left heel in BS.

Saw him at East like last weekend hit probably the lowest, most penetrating driver I've ever seen. Was insane to see in person

The toe lift is nutso. It would be even more interesting if he did the Rory move of lifting the left heel in transition and moving it towards the target.

Love his move (and the analysis)!

Does the head drop on backswing happen naturally or on purpose?
@everettfarr8036 Жыл бұрын
But goes back. Bend at the hip. Head drops because of this. Hogan- Tiger- whole bunch of great players do it.

@everettfarr8036 Thanks for reply. I tried this - pushing the butt back, but my right leg just straightens, then on downswing I early extend. It's very hard to copy these guys 😒

@@robertholding6609Need to do stretches for backswing and strengthen your core muscles, to be deep in hips with fairly steep shoulder turn , or at least steeper than what you setup at address.
