Give it time. I was losing about a table spoon of fluid a day from the rack through the rubber bellow on the drivers side. I Put a full bottle in and waited and waited. After 4 weeks ( about 300 miles) no more leaking. Just an update. . . still not leaking! Its been over 2 months now. I can say 100% honestly. This stuff worked for me. UPDATE... It's been well over a year now. Still not leaking. What have you got to lose?

Had a leak in my Rack so I put in a bottle of the Lucas. It didn't quite fully stop the leak but it did slow it down considerably in the first week enough to avoid replacing the rack. Then surprisingly after a month of the Lucas flowing through my system it actually did stop the leak. I haven't topped off my fluid since, it's been 3 months now. I guess you need to be patient to see if it works for you.

Ill definitely try what you did. Iv Used Lucas products before . but one thing I can say when it comes to oil stabilizer from Lucas there's different types if you have an old engine used the older thicker stuff if you have a new engine or V VTI use the stuff that is a lot thinner. Would this work if you’re not sure where the power steering is leaking from? It’s all over around in the engine , it looks wet but not sure where the leak is. We have to keep putting brake fluid in it. Also, for some reason, the windshield wiper fluid reservoir keeps blowing the cap off. Any ideas what that could be from?? Just bought a 1993 Gulfstream motor home and the steering box leaks when sitting. Does not appear to leak when running at yet this is when it's under pressure. Looks to me like when it's under pressure the oil is pushing the seal neoprene up against the shafts . The reservoir tank holds at least 3 quarts of ATF. I wonder if one bottle would be enough. Also, it's a Diesel Pusher, so it's a long way from the pump to the steering box, so this would be another 1 to 2 quarts not including the pump.

I have an 04 dodge Dakota 4.7 v8. The driver side inner tie rod bellow or rubber accordion was pouring out fluid which means the rack seal is shot. I just purchased the 32oz bottle of Lucas power steering stop leak. I drained the reservoir and added 100% Lucas. I then ran the engine turning the wheel lock to lock then I shut it off and let the Lucas slowly creep in to the leaking seals I will turn it on and work the steering lock to lock when it cools down. Nice video. I will update if the leak stopped.

Hi ! Well I have a Seat Córdoba 2007 and last year it started to leak of the power steering. Well, I went with my mechanic. But this car has an electric pump and not a mechanical, so the kind of oil that you can use it is not the same!!! this Lucas oil has a higher viscosity grade that is why it helps you to stop the leak. But in my car the pump almost burns !! So take care with that. Maybe you can use it with a lower viscosity oil in order to let the pump works perfectly. In my car does not work, because the steering gear and steering rack had a lot of wear. So I send them to repair. Now is working perfectly with no leak. I hope this comment helps you in any way ! Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico :)

I have a question. If you put the Lucas in the reservoir and checked it again in a week or so, how exactly does the product work? I'm not really mechanically inclined so I was just wondering. Hope my question makes sense.

It only works on rubber seals. It swells them. This product is good for vehicles you don’t want to spend much money on. In my case I didn’t want to replace the rack on this junker car. Wasn’t worth the money or time.

Was told at the dealership a few months ago that I have a leaking power steering hose that would need to be replace for a few hundred dollars. I asked them to just top me off so I could gauge how bad the leak was for myself. Several months later it's finally out an was making noises and a pop sound when I turn the wheel. This morning I put in Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak to the "Min" line and topped off with Lucas power steering fluid. Turned the wheel back and forth for a bit and then went on down the road. No noise and much smoother. We'll see how long this lasts as I believe my leak is small.
