They are not adopted. That man is not Lucas or Hugo’s father. He may be an uncle or step-father but definitely not their dad. I think that the reason Hugo is being so “uninterested “ is because he is the big brother and he wishes he was where Lucas was but he is not so he is a little jelly. It might also be because he has to pretend to be the heartless or mean older brother lol.
