They do a good job of not showing too much bias. Like yeah obviously they get more excited when Detroit scores but outside of that they still call plays pretty fairly and try to remain neutral when it comes to calls.

What makes you so sure they thought it looked clean the moment it happened? Everyone forgets how fast the sport is, so much so that any hit that looks slighty harsh live (no luxury of a replay like we do) will make them want to send a message.

Also, I looked for this hit to tweet how Raymond was jumped for no reason! I can’t just tweet that Alexander Romanov’s hit on Miles Wood was clean & seem biased because I’m a Islanders fan! It was a clean hard hit! (Miles Wood is one of my favourite players now) Because Miles Wood tweeted this: “I’ve never been hit like that in my lifetime. He just read the play well and I just kind of fell into his lap (…) it was a clean hit.” Wow, how cool is that?! A modern-day player saying that is very rare! People being so ridiculous. A little context please. The Islanders have barely engaged in any rough stuff all year. So you know the moment was bubbling up eventually. It's hockey. It happens. Perfect reason to pop off finally. I wish people would stop acting like there weren't fights after clean hits back in the day. There absolutely was. Difference is there was 10x more big hits back then so it was much more part of the game and you couldn't fight after all them. Now, the big open ice hit is so rare then when it does happen, everyone gets excited and reacts. It's only natural. So everyone shut up cuz you're annoying.
