What I know about the early version of The Dig is that it was going to be darker than the final version, seeing the first scene we realize that there were going to be four astronauts, and the green one already dies upon reaching Attila

From what i read, that scene is actually Brink or Boston pulling a prank on the crew to make them think the air is unbreathable and he gets back up after falling and laughs. The only one who dies early on was Toshi Olema who was meant to be the 4th character and he dies in the acid pit which is under the crashed alien ship where you first meet the alien ghosts

Definitely feel like these behind the scene vids were the inspirations for undertale and modern games like that. The similarities in style are uncanny.

It's always fascinating to see new footage of the early builds of The Dig. It kills me that we'll never know completely what The Dig could have been. spaaske Check out the link I posted. During development they switched lead game designers on The Dig something like 3 times. An early version of the game was designed by Loom's Brian Moriarty and was reportedly a much more violent game, and an even earlier version had some survival gameplay mechanics. There were loads of interesting ideas and approaches that never made it into the final game. I especially wonder how good Brian Moriarty's version would have been.

Roguemos que un día nos la compartan por favor... Tal cual sucedió con el perdido Warcraft Adventures que alguien logró encontrarlo y subirlo. Esta versión de The Dig se veía muchisimo mejor y esa Maggie tenía un mejor diseño

@@ad7799 Existe un documento de diseño que narra junto a todos los sucesos del juego, lo que ocurre in game, lo que el jugador tiene que hacer y lo que debe programarse, y como una gran sorpresa, la versión de Moriarty tiene 4 rutas en total!!! Por lo que se sabe, el juego estaba programado pero no finalizado al 100%, con algunos diálogos no escritos y problemas para entregar el juego en fecha. Yo tenía vagos recuerdos de ver imágenes de esta versión de pequeño pero al parecer de haber un prototipo jugable, este no está liberado. Estaría muy bueno poder tener acceso a esta versión del juego, eso sí, es difícil a más no poder. Es posible morir en él y además hay misiones muy complejas.
