Sica I know that feeling. For example it took 2.5 months to memorize and play Ave Maria on a intermediate level. Then about 1 month after that it was decent. It’s discouraging but don’t give up. You will improve. You may not notice the small strides you’re making but others will. Stick with it friend.

I know I'm late to the discussion but it has happened to me too. It got to the point where I used to skip my favorite solos in songs just to stop feeling inadequate. Taking a small break and realizing that we started playing guitar not for the love of shredding (yeah, stereotypical metalhead here) but for the love of music helps. When I realize I'm not good enough to play a particular song that I want to learn, I just make my own song that sounds really good to my ears but is just slightly out of my comfort zone. I think that helps a lot.

When I was 17, a couple of years into classical guitar lessons, I had a guitar classmate, a 10-11 y/o kid who was waaaaay more advanced. We were indeed practicing the same stuff, except I was struggling with the pieces while this kid was playing them at the correct tempo AND THE LITTLE SHIT WAS BORED. Our teacher felt he had to talk with me and just explain that this kid has been playing forever. Still depressing, but this kid was in a whole different league.
