Whoa, the size of Skocjan cave is incredible! Absolutely massive! So cool. Loved the cave castle too. I can see why it took a year for it to be penetrated!

Hey guys I had no idea Slovenia was home to massive caves like this 😍 we would love to see them in person 😊 The castle tour sounds more than your typical experience. Knowing that they tried to make it entertaining in addition to educational would make me want to visit even more to hear all of the stories.

I had no idea they were famous for their caves in Slovenia - so that's pretty interesting. I would love to visit Predjama Castle that looks pretty cool. Good to know about the tour - we don't usually like to rent cars but I think it might be necessary there to see all the sights.
@LucasWorldTravel2 жыл бұрын
We don't like to rent cars either. Slovenia can be easily seen by bus too, so a car is not necessary but definitely more convenient!

Been loving your Slovenia series! For future travelers that may only be able to do 1 day tour, would you say that one cave experience was more of a “must see” than the other?
@LucasWorldTravel2 жыл бұрын
Many thanks! Glad you are enjoying the videos! If we had to choose, we’d go to just Postojna Cave. Predjama Castle is really close as well if you can make it! Happy travel planning!

Hi there! Do you by any chance know if you can DIY a trip From Ljubljana City Centre to Prejama Cave then bus to Postojna Cave? Many thanks
@LucasWorldTravel Жыл бұрын
No, as far as we know there’s no public transport to the caves. You have to either rent a car or take a tour. www.getyourguide.com/ljubljana-l318/postojna-cave-predjama-castle-from-ljubljana-t97692/?partner_id=8Q3GBBL&deeplink_id=785d8edb-2eee-5d36-9bc8-2701967ea3cd

If you could only pick one cave, which would it be? Going in a couple of weeks and have one free day. We have been to Lake Bled before, so trying to plan when our group goes there. Thank you.

I would say Postojna Cave. The train ride through that cave was really magical.

The stories of Predjama Castle are probably just legends written by the victors. Anyway: fortunately, toilets are safer today.
