Great video, This is our favorite city in Italy. Lucca has so much to see and discover, it is filled with churches and amazing streets to explore. You will need at least a full day to see it and experience its charm and history.

@@yourtravelfriendanna So my hidden gems relate to what you were saying about walking the extra street or two, to find something not on the tourist flow. In Florence there is a restaurant Coquinarius on the switchback road up to Fiesole. It is not cheap, but the midday meals were good value - excellent food at a fair price. I ate there with my son on a baking hot day, looking down on Florence from the Terrace. Excellent. And a second one in Venice. My wife and I were staying on Lido de Jesolo, which is in and of itself a good hint to get away from the crowds. We decided to take our car up the island, you know just exploring. We stopped at a restaurant, come fish barbeque place, no one spoke any of the languages my wife and I speak, but what a lovely night. They brought some wine, and then came one dish after another of excellent food. We probably shouldn‘t have driven back to the hotel, but… just a great night. Not really a secret, just seek out the locals, be humble and let them show you the way. I get the feeling you have figured this out. If some foreigner asked for your advice, you would do your best. And the Italians are truly just wonderful. I am off for Tuscany tomorrow… cheers!

@@yourtravelfriendanna Anfiteatro Square is the main square of Lucca historic center. It is the Senese Campo Square of Lucca. Amazing street of Lucca is also Fossi Street (street full of water channels). However if you have seen nothing of Lucca now, you think to see them next time? Next time when you will have health problems and you cannot travel more or when you are 100 years old?
