Truly one of the best shows on TV. Especially in this time of unreality TV, great to see one with out drama, real history, or just love of and item that means something to their owners. Showcasing real craftsmanship from seamstress, carpenters, horologist, clock makers blacksmith, fine art restorers etc.

in 1968 I wanted to buy a self-portrait of Sir Godfrey Kneller. Mom said, NO, it has cracks in it. It was $300. I've never gotten over my loss. I still look for that painting online. No luck.

What's the point of this? We want to see before and after shots of the painting. Instead we get the life history of it's previous owner. Stop pulling my chain.
