This video still reaches deep into my soul and I must have watched it over 200 times. Pavarotti was quite ill at this time. Nobody combined such power with such tenderness.

I'm still overjoyed and amazed that they decided to collaborate like that. Before the tests of the world and time made it almost not happen.

When two masters meet with a truly great song they will bring it to a higher level. You're absolutely correct, Pavarotti "zones out" when he sings. Let's hope they are singing together in vocal heaven. We will not hear their like again. RIP James and Luciano ❤❤

Wonderful collaboration with much respect in the air. It always makes speachless how Pavarotti“s voice touches your soul in seconds. Really a voice from another dimension. If you wonder why he looks sad, it‘s because his father died four days before the concert and he would have been in the audience.

I love your reaction to this you both look very excited to see this! James Brown has been my favorite entertainer since 1968 when I was 12. I saw him about 100 times in concert met him a couple of times and that kind of stuff. He was 69 years old here and Mr. Pavarotti was 67. This was 2002 and Mr. Brown passed away in 2006 and Mr. Pavarotti passed away in 2007. So this was an amazing performance to capture on film. As you’re watching this you see some of the women swaying back-and-forth those are James Brown’s back up singers Bittersweet. and then you see a drummer with the padded drumsticks that’s one of Mr. Brown’s drummer. Please do more reactions for James Brown thanks.

Great reaction ! I agree. When someone suggested this video I wasn't interested. I had JB Records from 1968 to 1975. Man's World I never liked. But after this rendition from both legends, I now watch it over and over. 😊

You should also check out Tracy Chapman singing with Pavarotti at a similar event. It’s brilliant. In both this video and the one with Ms. Chapman, greatness meets greatness and the result is magical.

Hello both of you, I really liked your reaction again. You asked how this cooperation came about. Luciano has repeatedly held benefit concerts in recent years. At these he sang together with the greatest musical greats from different musical genres. greeting Hartmuth

Glad u are watching my favorite singer Pavarotti. He held these concerts for charity in his home town of Modena. The opera world didnt like it but he said he didnt care. Since Celine Dion is now so ill and may not sing again, Please review her song with Pavarotti called "I Hate You, Then I Love You" . He sings in English and there are millions of views.

These annual charity concerts in Modena were legendary and unique. One of the many highlights was Lucano's MISERERE 2003 with Bono/U2 (amazing for a rock singer) and Italian cantori ZUCCHERO on piano. During the Sarajevo War, Lucano, Bono, The Edge and Brian Eno performed their joint single MISS SARAJEVO 1995 (a balance sheet in itself: war and Miss to achieve normality?!). Back in 1995 they also sang U2's masterpiece ONE (we are not the same, but carry each other/ Domenica, you can philosophize about that; a relationship always remains a little more, sometimes a little less "work"), one of the best rock ballads in terms of content. I wish all a good next week!

Bertha Benz (German: [ˈbɛʁta ˈbɛnts] ⓘ; née Cäcilie Bertha Ringer; 3 May 1849 - 5 May 1944) was a German automotive pioneer. She was the business partner and wife of automobile inventor Carl Benz. On 5 August 1888, she was the first person to drive an internal-combustion-engined automobile over a long distance, field testing the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, inventing brake lining and solving several practical issues during the journey of 105 km (65 miles). In doing so, she brought the Patent-Motorwagen worldwide attention and got the company its first sales.
