Italy revers Luciano Pavarotti as the master tenor. He got to this plateau by years of hard work combined with an otherworldly talent. When Pavarotti started to sing it is like being transported into an ethereal realm, which some people would describe as the realm of angels. Pavarotti concentration was one of pure concentration and vocal projection that fills the auditorium. In response the audience roared its approval as they heard the man give all his heart and soul to sing this powerful opera masterpiece. Very good reaction Bisscute as you just stepped out of the way and kept your comments few as a layperson that wanted to learn more about from this tenor powerful singing.

I'm a huge music fan, played classical piano and cello when I was younger before eventually picking up a guitar, and Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma is one of the few pieces of music that, no matter how many times i've head it in my near-40 years, it always brings a tear to my eye. I don't know why, but it just does. Another one is Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe singing Barcelona. I discovered this song as a child, from playing classical music in orchestra but also from my Grandmother who was a huge fan of Pavarotti and saw him live in concert in Rome, if I remember correctly

Love the idea of seeing more videos of you discovering the talents involved in classical music. I, for my part, got to know this performance thanks to my dad, who was a guy that LOVED to know the basics of everything (music, literature, science, history, movies, etc). The three tenors (Pavarotti, Carreras, Domingo) is a great concert to explore.
@mattpotter87252 ай бұрын
This was used for the theme tune for the Italia 90 World Cup on the BBC here in the UK, that's when I first heard this, it even charted in the UK Top 40, I think reaching number 3, which for an opera song was unheard of. I was a teenager at the time and had very little experience of opera at the time, but an introduction like that was mind-blowing. He then performed concerts worldwide with two other tenors, José Carreras and Placido Domingo as The Three Tenors, they performed concerts worldwide, brought out albums on cd that sold very widely, and they performed in LA at the following World Cup in 1994 in the US, which I think launched them to an even wider audience. Pavarotti is, in my opinion, the greatest tenor to have ever lived. You don't have to understand what is being sung, we didn't when first hearing the song, it is just so beautifully sung, I don't think anyone can deny this. Thanks for reacting to this Biss!!!

Hello Bisscute, first of all, I want to express my respect and admiration for your courage and courage to react to an opera work and an artist like Pavarotti, since not many dare to do so. Your reaction seemed extraordinary to me, you would have seen your face and your gaze with a spark of charm before the virtuosity of Luciano Pavarotti and the beautiful music that accompanied it. Pavarotti's performance of "Nessun Dorma" is one of the most iconic and recognized in the world of opera. It is an aria from the final act of the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, and Pavarotti immortalized it with his powerful and emotional interpretation, with absolute mastery of his breathing and voice projection in a masterful way. As you could see, the high notes, such as the famous "Vincerò" at the end of the aria, are executed with unmatched clarity and power, not to mention his extraordinary interpretation that transmits so many emotions and his handling of dynamics, etc. Bisscute, I think that reacting more to this type of music could open the doors to an even wider audience. I recommend listening to Luciano's interpretations of the works: O sole mio and Torna a Surriento. My suggestion for a next reaction is to the Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flores, at La Scala in Milan, performing a popular Mexican piece called Cucurrucucú paloma. Greetings and a hug from Mexico City.

This concert, of which this recording is part, was organized as part of the closing events of the 1994 World Cup in the USA (soccer for the Americans..🤦🏻♂️). It had been a while since Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras (3 tenors [hence the generic name for their performances: The Three Tenors], 2 Spaniards and an Italian. An audio recording was made to release a CD with the recording made that night. I have a copy of that 💿… It is not so well known but, I sincerely think that you would like to see if you can find it (or if not, a video with subtitles of the song) “Non ti scordare si me”. It is a sad but very beautiful song. In this concert, and in other similar ones, the 3 tenors not only sang opera arias but also more popular pieces and songs outside the usual repertoire of the “opera” itself, some in Spanish (I suppose that being 2 of the 3 Spanish must have influenced this 😅)
