Man Jeff your videos are great but knowing the number of motors the car you’re driving is probably a piece of info to share accurately, that plus not hitting the base model as being $82k… That being said nailed the part about the Airs dynamic capabilities. It was a joy to drive, software still needs some work. Hopefully this company survives and grows!

The Pure is high $70k's if I'm not mistaken, not $100k.

I have had one of these for a year. It is an amazing toy. Really a niche product. The Sapphire will be a few clicks crazier.

Funny things I went a checkout a lucid air grand touring performance. And it's not 1050hp It's a actually 1111hp . Apparently it's 61hp higher and that is the number that it directly said on the sticker it's self,as if that's the quoted hp from the factory. And as we know from teslas with there acceleration boost that they sell ,a 61hp difference in hp can net you. .5 second decrease in 0 to 60, top end and mid range.

GT-Performance is a dual motor, not triple. Sapphire will be only one with triple motor

Totally agree about overly polite drivers. When we stop at the same time at a 4-way intersection and you're on my right, go for gods sake! No hand waving to be nice. these people cause accidents! Sheesh.

It's odd to review an EV and not know it's battery capacity (118 kWh in the GT Performance / 112 kWh in the standard GT) or the number of motors (it's two; the Sapphire will be the tri-motor version of the Air). It's also strange to hear him say no one else is talking about the Lucid's handling. The internet has been awash in praise of Lucid's driving dynamics, including from the likes of massively-followed reviewers such as Ben "The Stig" Collins, Doug DeMuro, Throttle House, et al.

0 - 62 in less than 2 secs ( Maybe 1234 HP ) The Sapphire looks stunning in dark blue ... But how many will they sell at $250,000 ??? Buy a Taycan Turbo S and save $70,000

I'm definitely not. The ride quality is far better, as is the interior fit and finish.

We have a 2021 Model S Plaid and a 2022 Lucid Air Dream Performance. The Lucid is far the better car: more rigid body structure, better handling and ride compliance, quieter, considerably roomier and more luxurious interior (with back seat room that blows the Model S out of the water). It is technically a few ticks slower off the line than the Plaid in optimum conditions but, as the Plaid's front end becomes unplanted during hard acceleration and the Lucid's doesn't, you can actually make more use of the Lucid's power. For the first year the Tesla's software trounced the Lucid's, but the introduction of UX 2.0 in October 2022 and its progeny of updates changed that, and we now actually like the Lucid's software suite better, as well as the duplication of some controls with conventional manual switchgear, making the car easier to operate when in motion, especially for front seat passengers.

I have an Air GT, and the sound system, is anything but good. I'm so disappointed in its performance. Zero, and I mean ZERO bass response. The preimum sound system in the Ford Fusion Energi I had was so much better than this. And according the services techs, even if you were to add a dedicated bass unit, it still wouldn't perform like you would hope since the sound system is software code based. SMH. There are some disappointments with their software for key systems as well, but overall, this is the car to get. In my area, there are only 4 units, and in the entire metroplex only 100. So it turns heads everywhere you go. I really like not seeing another one on the road, unlike Tesla, where you can see up to 6 at any given traffic light. Nothing special about that. For me I have nothing to prove power wise, I have smoked every super car I that has challenged me. I love the luxury of the car and the comfort. I understand the need for a more durable leather in the front seats, but my god, the super soft leather of the back seats are amazing! If you get any of the models, do your self a favor and get a PPF with Ceramic coating as well as Ceramic Tint. It will cost you a pretty penny, but it will be worth it in the long run.
