Takes a certain taste in game type, but... The art and animation are truly amazing. I can only hope in the coming months (Im really trying to jump in and make my own 'indie' game) that I can produce a product with half as good art. To see games like this made by normal people (you probably operated with another person or group to make this though) create such amazing things makes me even more sure I can create my own. It's refreshing to see games like these coming out. I agree with what a few said here, there has been too much focus on FPS games lately that companies have cut short on other genres for different tastes. Well done, Lucasarts. Now.....what about Battlefront III?

The race to the top hardware has finished years ago. Isn't necessary to upgrade the PC every 6 months. The entry level quad CPUs and cheap video cards can run Crysis without problems, I bought my PC 1 year ago at a cheap price, and it moves very good all the games.

@snowqueen93 I agree, the beginning had me captivated, thought it was going to be something really different...then suddenly it cut to the game-play, and I was pretty disappointed. I think a large part of it was going from the lovely organic styles at the beginning to very blocky and ugly looking platforming; if the platforms were more organic looking and a pleasure to look at, the game-play might have looked more appealing as a result.

Wrong. Avoid shallow comments! Point 1. Crysis has a heavy 3D engine, it needs a very good PC to work good. Point 2. The game IS well-balanced, having a great playability. Points 1 & 2 does not conflict one against other. Games can be good to see, or good to play, or both. That is the case of Crysis, brilliant to see and very good to play. A big improvement compared to the poor Crytek's first Far Cry game.

If so, the discussion has no sense. I recommend you to reconsider the PC world. It isn't only an RTS/FPS boring bunch of games. There are many Indie gems, like "And Yet It Moves", but at the same time very good commercial games like F.E.A.R. and Crysis and many others. EVERY platform (is it a PS3, an X360, a WII or a PC) has his gems, remember it.

The controller: for some games -action games, sport games- is better. For other games - race sims, beatemup a' la SF4, fisrt person shooters- definely not. I prefer to play SF4 with an arcade-like Joystick; To play racing games with a wheel; to play the fps genre with mouse+keyboard. Play it with a joypard is a torture. However, anyone has his predilection, there isn't a law of "RIGHT THINGS" or a "BAD THINGS".

For me, like I said mouse/keyboard is torture in almost any situation except rts type games and diablo. I refuse to play fps with a mouse, its just not fun to me. but yea on topic lucidity does seem interesting haha.
