Every time I played Hellenika, I kept coming back to Bethel. They're just so different and fun. One thing I found helpful was trying to get a throne early on - the research boost is nice, and they're always helpful. An interesting point worth noting is that I think they benefit a fair bit from games with more provinces, where they can push their expansion out further and get a tiny bit more gold income early before dominion kills it all (IIRC, the recommended Hellenika settings had slightly more provinces per player than normal). Looking forward to seeing you get the higher Bethel stuff, where you can really start doing some damage, instead of just doing damage control.
