That space screams Lucie!! Suggestions: Dining Table: Since it is such an angular nook I would go for a round table (maybe even one with an extra table leaf to extend it). it softens the corner a bit, fits more people and you can walk around it more easily to get to your favourite spot. Entry corner: plants! hanging plants, plants on the book shelves, in the window.. they soften the angles as well and it would look so so awesome to come inside and be greeted by an urban jungle kinda situation! my two cents :)

Also heartily agree it should be round or oval! There are round table with leaves...also I wouldn’t put a credenza under the window you love sitting at, your have to climb over it to sit!

I think this apartment gives you enough space to not have to cram the dining and living room together. If it were me I’d use the front room as your dining space. It wouldn’t be a huge table maybe a round one with four chairs. Also you could still have the bookshelves and instead of a buffet maybe a bar cart since it’s right off the kitchen. Then you’ll have space for extra seating in your living space. (But tbh this is just my opinion as a wannabes interior designer). It’s a gorgeous apartment!

I feel like, instead of having a second desk in that first room where all the bookshelves are, you could make that a dining room with a way bigger table! That way your perfect little window nook can just be for relaxing. You could put a flat cushion, a couple throw pillows and add a side table so you can put your mug and books there.

Just I was that thinking too Maggie! The dining table should near the entry space and leave the little window nook just to relax. And NO TV in the bedroom! Leave that space just for sleep!

I agree with Maggie, that area would make a spacious dining room, you can add the bookshelves in the office/guestroom. Although once you live in it awhile you'll know exactly where everything should go.

Love this space! Maybe you want to put the dining table in the entry space when you first walk into the apartment because it’s closer to the kitchen and can also fit a much longer table! (I saw from your insta stories that the three book cases installed in the entry are already holding kitchenware and dinnerware from your registry). Being close to the kitchen will definitely make it easier for you when guests are over. The desk that you’re envisioning in the entry way could then be moved under the big window in the living room :)

I think you might change your mind about your bed placement for a few reasons. Of course it’s totally based on your preferences but thought I would mention a few things that you will probably discover over time: 1. In window ac can be really loud and strong so it will deafen you when it’s by your head and also make you very cold in bed 2. It’s really nice to wake up looking towards window and sunlight 3. If you open your windows any dust/dirt will basically be hitting your pillows.

Yes, my thought was the bed facing the built ins, though I guess they’d rather have it facing the tv.

I think you should leave the wall above the couch white and hang a couple interesting/modern art pieces, maybe a set? The white is so beautiful and it reflects the sunlight so well I don’t think you should cover it up!

Definitely use the entry way space as a dining area for these reasons 1. You have a huge book shelf in the 2nd room. Plus you know books could be well hidden in places just like your 1st apartment. So there's no need for that huge space to be designated just for book shelves. Make more use out of it. 2. You'd free up much space needed in the living room, perhaps a reading/ relaxation nook. 3. A gallery wall with your pictures would personalize the space so much. So happy for your new fresh start, you deserve the best. Love from Egypt ❤️

With Closet space like that I don't think I would take up space with a build-a-closet but maybe a bed with some drawers under it. Also with high ceilings some soft fabrics to help absorb sound. And the view is the best part!

What a beautiful apartment!! If I were you I wouldn't put a desk in the entryway, but rather an armchair and a nice floor lamp to make it into a reading nook/library. Then maybe a nice entryway table on the other wall /the one bordering the kitchen) so you can drop your keys/change/mail etc. I'd put the desk in the guest room instead! As for the master bedroom, from the layout the best place for a bed seems to be against the blank back wall, where you want to put the Pax wardrobe. But I see the difficulty there :/ Everything else sounds great!! I bet you'll be super happy once you're all moved in!

Love the apartment, Lucie! Personally, I wouldn’t keep the couch in the living room against those windows but instead place it in the middle of the room facing the wall you wanted to have a wallpaper on and have the tv on that wall instead. Secondly, I strongly suggest to make the entrance room as your dining room since it is so close to the kitchen and keep that desk in the second bedroom instead so you can keep a nice and cozy chair at the nook in your living room. As someone in the comments mentioned, the placement of your bed against the window means all the noise from the ac is gonna be right near your head and if you ever decide to open the windows, all the dust is gonna be on your bed. I would’ve put the bed against the wall you’re building your closet on but now that that’s not possible, I’d keep it against the opposite wall i.e. the left wall when you enter the room and maybe get the angular tv stand thingy. These were just some of my thoughts. I absolutely love the unique shape of the apartment and can’t wait to see how you decorate it x

Your new digs are funky, intriguing, quirky, and fun. Take your time with furnishing. Hold out until you find THE perfect piece(s) for each space. You can create an indoor garden with all that light and grow a fair amount of vegetables and flowers, if that's your jam. Certainly it will look fabulous with some large-scale green plants. The sunlight will be magnificent and good for your soul. Be careful about putting irreplaceable or treasured pieces in full sun, since they will fade. You'll find the happy medium. What an exciting new life you and Michael will have in your new triangolo.

This apartment is so unbelievable. I am currently looking for a space in NYC and even though I imagine my price range is much lower then both of yours it is so hard watching this video because at this point I am happy to have a closet in a place in manhattan. Just one single closet for myself. Also the lights and views and location of this apartment is to die for. I can just tell by the view your location is unbelievable. Honestly congrats for working for such an amazing space I hope you guys truly feel at home in it.

Thanks for sharing! Design suggestion... hang a round chandelier above your kitchen table or dining table. The catch is is that the chandelier has hanging plants all around it instead of candles or lights. If the table is rectangular then get one that is rectangle but if the table is round get a round one. You can utilize it as a herb garden. Then you can always add fresh herbs to your meals or drinks. Plus, the garden is above you so it takes up less space. Visually it will look great above your eating area (table).🙂

I think a fiddle-leaf fig plant would look great in the entry way corner. They grow so nice and tall and will love your high ceilings and that soft but direct lighting. Maybe put the bookshelves in the guest bedroom/office to make it feel more homey and library like? Congrats on your new space!

The idea of the statement wall in the living room is growing on me. I do love the all white, so I do think keep it light with the statement wall not too much bright color keep it more neutral or grays/ tans/ pastel. It will keep it interchangeable and you can just add colors with pillows or accessories. Guests will love taking pictures with that as a background

You should also consider leaving the big window corridor free... Its more aestetically appealing. Maybe consider putting the tv on the wallpaper wall (dont to wallpaper, just hang a few artpieces, to make it seem like a gallery).. And have the couch facing that wall, with two armchairs and lamps. And in the back (wich wouod seem like another room, do a reading nook)
@00Kristyna00

I also agree about the bedroom situatuon... No build in wardrobe, but a bed with build in cabinets. And leave the bed facing the windowwwws, not facing a wall! Also a tv there would force you to put curtains up, wich is annoying with those fabulous windows. I also agree about the wallpaper in the studio room... You should leave it bank, or chose a not so chaotic wallpaper...

I feel like the living + dining room might be crowded and cramped if you put the table in the corner. You could put the couch near the little corner and get either a detachable L-shaped couch (so the small part of the "L" fits in the nook), or one that just fits already. Place the dining table near the wall you were referring to for the wallpaper; I think this layout would give you all more space and more flow.
@pernillaandersson6325

I would use a wall mount that can slide out and be angled and place the tv on the wall where you are going to put the geometric wallpaper both to keep the windows and the "corridor" clean.

Another point to putting dinner room in entry is you keep the living room more open and grand. Leaves room so you can do your yoga in there instead of in one of the smaller rooms.

I really love how creative this space is!!!! My tips: Make sure the 3 bookshelves are narrow and minimal so they don’t add to much visual weight to the wall when you’re first walking in. It’d be nice to have a statement bench there (maybe instead of the desk) with a floor lamp, floor mirror and side/console table for keys etc. Dining table can be an expandable one with leaves Add some c side tables to the office so even at the sofa you have a work surface. Don’t forget to really play with scale in the art with all that wall space and ceiling height you’re workin with ;)

since the windows are so deep you should 100% turn it into a little reading nook by adding lots of pillows. you could even get a little cushion. i know urban outfitters has them i think they are called daybeds, but i’m also sure they are easy to get made or diy with a piece foam. you should totally do it!

I would recommend getting a dining table that expands. I think you can find those in ikea. Basically when its folded it can seat 4 people, but when you unfold it, it can seat 6 or 8 people. I have one of those and its amazing when i have guests over especially that i live in a small apartment in Stockholm

I have those exact same shiny white closet sets from IKEA in my house for years. They looked great for the first few years and then the doors swing system started to get weak in the doors begun to fall off. I loved how they look if you want to put them up but I would recommend getting maybe a stronger hold hinge because the doors are super heavy and the closet fake wood frame is a little too cheap to hold the system up.

What a beautiful space! It'd be really cool to put a booth or a bench on one side of the dining with an asymmetrical table that's wider on the side without the window. I would swap the small desk (entry area) and the dining area personally. Keep the bookcases in the entry then place a round dining table with a nice set of folding chairs you can bring out and put away! Then it looks like a fancy entry with the lone table and all! Also the desk would be less in the way of your window sitting area as well as give you a place to set your coffee and book/paper/laptop!

For the second bedroom i think you should not put a very colorfull and full printed wallpaper that will make it smaller. A calm print but colorful will make it better to concentrate for a office and light and open. _ a colorful couch i love it 😍 red or yellow For the living room i think the buffet table will only make it smaller and why don't you put the tv against the wall without the windows and then the couch will close it so you don't have to go through the sitting area to get to the eat area. Then you are making a sort of room in a room and very cosy. And then the table can stand against a wall behind the couch or against the couch so you have more space to normally sit and then the buffet table is possible. I don't know if i explained it well. I hope you have something about my advice

for the second bedroom / office, what about a murphy bed desk combo, the bed out of the way when not needed and the desk just folds out of way, when bed is needed ?

I was thinking maybe in one of the window's sills you could make it a reading nook with a couple of pillows and maybe a small blanket that you can fold up to spice it up

If you haven't read/listened to it already, you should check out "City of Girls" by Elizabeth Gilbert. It has so many comedic moments in it, while still managing to keep a slightly serious tone. Imagine if your cooky yet amazing and colorful 90-year-old great aunt was telling you her life story.

i would recommend using darker colors and go lighter as you go from the ground upwards; the furniture would also look better and 'juxtapose' with the angular landscape of the apartment if they were softer with round / oval shapes instead of having all of them being really cut-out and corner-y

Cool space! How about planning a sitting area in your entryway where you and your guests can take shoes and accessories on and off... that would be helpful, 😃

I'm really happy for you!! This and the wedding! It's really magical. 💒✨🦄💖 Also I feel so poor and lonely right now. But that's life. I'm going to listen to Taylor Swift like a hopeless romantic. ♥️

You should put a circular table in the entry for a dining room!

Oh my god Lucie... Use the entrance room as a dining room/open office concept. Keep the bookshelfs... But put a biiiiig rectangular woooden table in the center, with 8 chairs. That way you can use it for dinners with friends, and it would be sooo convenient and comfortable and spacious... But during the day you can have people over to work and have meetings, and do projects. So please dont do the dining nook in the living room, do a big dining room and use the nook for a cozy reading nook. Its a more efficient use of the space this way.

Look at the couches that’s on joybird. A velvet bright couch would look really vibrant in the white room. I would recommend teal

For the first space with the book shelves I’d kinda have that as a designated reading space ...I’d probably add a cozy chair or something of that nature

There's an App called Design Home. They should make a virtual version of your apartment and give everyone a chance to decorate. That would be so much fun!!! 💛
