Lucie, I love your Amira reactions. I discovered her shortly after my wife passed away and listening to her singing returned some light into my life. I hope only good things come to this girl. She donates half of her income from singing to her own charity for underfunded schools in South Africa. A true Angel and a gift from God to this troubled world!

At 10 years she created her foundation for help to the poor children in South Afrika building playgrounds for the children have a place where they can play . This performance is absolutly epic , incredible . And for you this is only the begining ., because the wonders that you ll watch will blow your mind . They compared her to Maria Callas. I won't be surprised when, after a while, Amira has been or will be considered the better one, when she is at her ultimate peak.

Don't give up on Amira. There are so many more great performances to watch, each one just as special. Now after 5 years I watch them repeatedly, over and over waiting for the newest one. Watching a great singer grow and grow up has been awesome. Help yourself.

Well said by you.. there aren't words to explain her. Listening back now 10 years later to Dan's comment how he looks forward to her growing up with her talent .. and every performance of hers for me since that audition has the same magic... she has the same incredible stage presence and voice and humble confident personality. All of her performances are special.

There were about 8 people/groups in the final (most were matures). Amira got more votes on her own than all the othets together!

My favorite performs by her are Amazing grace and her original song for her deceased grandmother in the star's. Big tissue warning for in the star's. You may cry.

What a great reaction. She does leave one speechless. She was 9 when she won this competition, with over 50% of the public vote. When she was 10 she sang with Andre Rieu. That is well worth watching, as she had received some musical coaching and polished her act noticibly. When she was 11 she pulled out of the hat an unbelievable rendition of Ave Maria Gomez. Quite different to the semi final version. Both of these recommendations should be viewed to appreciate the heights Amira can achieve. Hope you continue to upload Amira reactions.

We mostly associate Nessum Dorma with middle aged male singers and not really with female.... and then comes along, a 9 year old girl... a slip of a child.... who takes the audience to another dimension... another world as she immerses herself into the performance.... as the choir sings, Amira closes her eyes and says to God... does it please You... He wipes the tears from His eyes and replies... Yes, My child, it pleases Me... Greatly..... and as she finishes, she comes back down to Earth, opens her eyes and grins .... Nessum Dorma will NEVER sound like that ... ever again...

Alma and Amera are frends. Thay where going to perform together for a charity benefit. Age 10 Alma 11 Amera . Spent the night before in Alma's tree house. Did the charity benefit at a church during which thay Gave a surprise premiere of a song from Cinderella. After Thay went and climbed trees in the churchyard until they were made to get down . This is more than sad, it is ridiculous. I have listened to the original video of her performance of Nessun Dorma and I can equivocally say that they have altered or cleaned up this video. At age 9 Amira could NOT hit the high notes and without auto-tune it was quite evident. Amira tackled Nessun Dorma again at about age 11 or 12 and you could tell the difference between those two performances. She sang O' Sole Mio when she was about 10 years old in South Africa and she sounded beautiful. Today I haven't heard much from her so I don't know if she survived puberty or not. I hope so!! But this video gets a thumbs down from me.
