Even though its weird that lucifer is mad the whole episode about Cain being with Chloe then at the end rejects alone time with her (clearly giving him a chance to change her mind) for something thats not even that important, but that Lux thing was an excuse for him. He wanted to get out of there, fast, because it freaking hurts man, he was stepping aside. He doesn't want to get all cosy only to remember that she thinks Pierce is brave and good, meanwhile he's meant to be the literal embodiment of all evil. She does also point out that he's selfish, reckless, childish and arrogant which might not be helping. Also, if you think about it he's never actually had a relationship before, he's an emotional teenager.

Lucifer still did not want to be with Chloe because he still thought that his father wanted that he will be with Chloe (his dad put Chloe in his path (this was the information we all had to that time)) and he thought that Chloe has not 100% control about her feelings towards him. ( this is what Linda&Lucifer talked about in a later episode)

Yeah, Maze is really frustrating at this point in the show. Trust me, you aren't the only ones that felt that way. Obviously, characters go through rough patches writing-wise in a lot of shows. It's usually not too much of a concern unless it starts to drag the show down too, which I feel Maze's arc did a little bit during this stretch. The show is still great, but it definitely made parts of these episodes unnecessarily frustrating. It'll be interesting to see where you guys are at with her at the end of the season.

​@@samatar6852 Best part of season 5 was when Lucifer had enough of her shit and bitch slapped her - easily the worst character in the show for me, her betraying Lucifer to Amenadiel in season 1 and then her getting pissed that he used her to make up for it after she said she slept with him just sums up her entire character for the next 4 seasons.

To be fair, Eric, there's thousands of historical pictures online of people who look identical to a descendant...down to the placement of moles/freckles, nose/lip/ear/chin structure, and even teeth. Sometimes it can get fucking bizarre how identical they are, so it's less of a trope and more of an unlikely phenomenon...sort of like EXACT identical twins.

So episode 25 and 26 don't follow the timeline, they're bonus episodes. But episode 25 is important to be seen before season 5 as it settle some important things in for the plot of season 5! The show was canceled by fox in ep 24, but was picked up by netflix in season 4 (And netflix took the show to another level, 10x better and with 10 episode seasons, so no filler!)

Season 3 is difficult to maintain interest in the show because it's so long and with many ups and downs, but this season has a very good ending, and it's worth keeping watching, the next seasons are amazing. Episodes 25 and 26 are additional episodes that don't influence the continuity of the story, but episode 25 introduces relevant information that will be resumed in the coming seasons. I hope you don't give up!

Please please PLEASE stick with this show until season 4! Yes, this season gets rocky and drags on way too long, which probably aided to it's cancellation. But once it gets picked up by Netflix it's gold; you definitely won't regret sticking around. Season 5B dropped just a couple weeks ago and in my opinion it's possibly one of the best installments yet. Also try not to get too mad at Maze, it's not her fault, it's the writers - she's a really good character at heart.

And here we get into what drove me nuts about Ella during this season... her constant comments about how "perfect" Chloe and Pierce are together, how much chemistry she sees, and how they totally "boned." *eyeroll I really cannot stand when heavy-handed writing pushes an agenda instead of showing actual connection between characters. Thank goodness season 4 got better, but these next episodes until the season 3 finale are really annoying.

I feel like that has more to do with Ella’s character than the writers trying to push Chloe and Cain’s relationship. I mean from the time he showed up we’ve seen Chloe was in to him, and we know Cain’s just using Chloe so he can die. From the audience perspective we already know the relationship isn’t real so it doesn’t make sense to push a relationship that we already know is bullshit What does make sense though is Ella saying those things out loud to try and justify Cain and Chloe’s relationship since she was also attracted to Cain

Honestly lucifer, dan and maze are the characters i get the most frustrated with on this show. Feel like it’s always one step forward two steps back with them. Season 3 is a real low for maze i would say, but she gets better at least. They all grow as the seasons go on but yeah, watching it the first time around was a real chore

He wants to give her the choice, but Cain is not the right choice, which has him regressing as he always does when faced with emotions. Maze is a demon and she acted like it and lashed out, nothing else justifies how she helped Cain. Maze and Lucifer cannot process human emotions like Cain does due to his millennial existence among humans.

After the Lucifer/Cain relationship ep I almost quit, it dragggged so hard. Also Maze is easily my favourite character but for some reason the writers turned her into a jealous idiot, like they didn't know what to do with her. I also don't care for the Lucifer/Chloe/Piers love triangle. The only relationship I care about in the whole show is Linda and Amenidiel (up until this point) and also Trixie and Maze, so that scene where Trix heard her being so mean about her was hard to watch.
