what they keep saying about god in this show is that's god is never there and never talks to anybody fore millennia. and yet the church and all the believers keep assuming what god wants by projecting their own likes and dislikes. god hates gay people or if you have sex before marriage you will go to hell, etc. god is like the dad who went to the store for a pack of cigarettes and never came back. if he does exist it's been a long time since he abandoned his project and people keep assuming that he wants this and that.

God this season is just so good. Such a tight storyline that is threaded all the way through in every episode, the cases of the week are a perfect blend of actually being a part of the celestial storyline and some random cases with themes that mirror their lives. Great charactizations and developments, it actually shows Chloe as a flawed person (which we all are) and not a perfect person, which has a real effect on the plot of the season. I could go on and on about the things i love about it. I loved 5a and 5b but 4 still remains supreme in my mind.

Yeah 4 is without a doubt the best season for so many reasons. My main one is that it repaired Chloe's character after the writers destroyed her character in season 3. Seeing Chloe have to be the one to earn and fight to get Lucifer back was a big deal for me. Got tired of Lucifer always chasing her

Rick is right. Amenadiel did raise Malcolm from the dead which resulted in the death of that one preacher guy. Malcolm killed him so he could get Lucifer on his side since he thought that's what he wanted to do. So yes Amenadiel is basically responsible for the death of a human. But I agree that the priest killing 2 people without any hesitation or remorse is worse :D

@@shoulderescape This quote is completely irrelevant in this situation becuase Amenadiel didn't raise Malcolm from the dead just from the kindness of his heart, he did it so he could send him to literally kill Lucifer. There is a big difference between a doctor just doing his job and Amenadiel raising a murderer from hell and then instructing him to murder another guy. So yeah, Amenadiel is very much responsible.

Indeed. Very noticeable right away. S3, despite a few great episodes, was a slog and just got too silly, wishy-washy and weak with the writing, acting, editing and direction ... Ella with her cringe offbeat waffle was a big turn off. Always thought Lucifer needed to get more serious and darker to properly fly. Having people like Graham McTavish and Inbar Lavi coming in is a definite plus too!

Yeah, Malcolm killed some people and tried to frame Lucifer, it's why amenadiel fell, he believed his was responsible 'cause he brought Malcolm back to life. But it's arguable 'cause he brought him back to kill lucifer (which barely counts as killing) and Malcolm didn't and went off on his own and amenadiel couldn't stop him 'cause angels can't kill humans. So amenadiel is very loosely responsible in that he couldn't have killed without being brought back, but I wouldn't even charge him with manslaughter.

Malcom was brought back to life then killed his cop buddy then he killed the righteous man trying to frame Lucifer for it. You recall Lucifer was saved by his brother and told him to take me back to hell because Chole was going to arrest him for the guys murder in the bar. So yes Malcom killed at least 2 people because of a Angel then he kidnaped Trixie so the angel actually almost got more killed and actually did get Lucifer killed but God saved him. Yes Malcom did die for a very short time but he was spared even people today say they die see things then come back to life.

Just think about what's going on with Chloe. She found out that her boyfriend is the Devil. And no matter how much she loves him, it's hard not to think that he could have been playing with her all this time. He is the very embodiment of evil! According to popular culture. And what did Lucifer do? He just let Chloe go on vacation. Obviously, there was not even a conversation between them, where he would explain all the important details to her on his fingers. It can be attributed to the mistake of the creators, but I think that this shows very well how Lucifer is not ready to solve problems himself and take responsibility for others (for Chloe, in this case).

If Lucifer had physically prevented her from leaving, he'd then be called controlling and would have probably freaked Chloe out even more. He was respecting her autonomy, which is a better side to err on than the alternative.

So, all that Chloe saw is that Lucifer is Devil (and sometimes cosplay Freddy Krueger). He didn't harm her psychologically with supernatural fear, but just make her realise that he is a immortal celestial from Bible, that make her feel herself shocked. As we can see, Chloe can separate mass-culture figure from her beloved one by seeing he pays attention to her, tells truth and risk his life for her. Existential crisis feels bad, but Chloe is a strong person, she just needed support from Lucifer and proofs of his kindness. But he did nothing, because it's much easier.

Honestly if it was me I would’ve not just ended things with Chloe, I would’ve left LA period. I know she is still dealing with the shock that he is the devil, but still she should not have treated him any differently. Also I love that the VFX artists finally settled on a single design for Lucifer’s devil face for the rest of the show and that he doesn’t just look like a burn victim, or a demon, but the actual devil.
