The ending of lucifer explained: Why can Lucifer not be a part time parent to Rory? - In order for Lucifer to learn what has to be done, Rory had to be angry enough to travel back in time, to question that decision. Therefore he has to be missing from her life. - If Rory had no reason to question Lucifer's absence, Lucifer would never get the chance to understand what his calling is. - He can be a part time husband in secret tho, and he can return to Rory at the point in the future, where they already have met in the past.

Thanks for reacting to this show, it has been great hearing your take on such an amazing story. I wasn’t sure what to expect this season, but I couldn’t have imagined a better ending. They really delivered a beautiful conclusion to everyone’s story. I wish Lucifer could’ve stayed with Chloe and Rory, but I’m glad he decided to help those souls in need. I think it was a nice touch that he used Linda’s office as a backdrop for his therapy sessions. I hope that ultimately he is able to help everyone deal with their guilt. Chloe showing up to be his partner once again was just the best. The change to the red shirt was brilliant. So sad to see this show end, but I’m grateful that I was able to experience it.

A Couple Things You Need To Keep In Mind Ellie 1) This Was Originally Intended To End At S5. Likely After Lucifer Sees Mr S.O.B. In Heaven And Realizes What He Did For Him, He'd Relinquish The Title Of God To Amededial And Become A Healer. But The Writers Felt It Would Just Resolve To Easily, So They Needed To Add A Little More To The Journey. That's Why The Rory Storyline Felt So Strange. 2) In Terms Of The Question So Many Ask "Why Can't Lucifer Just Drop By To See Them From Time To Time", As They Explained, Rory Coming Back In Time Is What Leads To Everything; Dan Getting To Heaven & Lucifer Finding His Calling. It's The Ouroboros Effect, LikeA Paradoxical Loop. A Leads To B Which Leads To A Which Leads To B. They Can't Let Lucifer Ever Return Because Rory Needs To Resent Him So She'll Go Back In Time, Set All These Events Into Motion, Leading To Everything That Needed To Happen And Then The Resulting Loop. In The End, It Was Necessary For Everyone, Especially Lucifer To End Up Where They Needed To Be, And Then He & Chloe Still Get Their "Titanic Ending". I Hope This Explanation Will Allow You To Enjoy This Finale More As Many Of Us Do. Also I Don't Know If You Caught It, But In Heaven, Not Only Did Dan Get His Pudding, But Charlotte Got Waffles Just Like He Use To Make For Her And The Braclet He Got For Her Just Before She Died.

Since its essentially a consciousness without a body it would take the form if what you look like in your mind. Most people have a self image they younger self even if theyve physically grown olders. I dont know if its what theyre going for here but it seems likely. The Matrix applied the same theory, why you looks one way inside the matrix even if thats not what you look like out side it. Interesting point, Lucifer promised Rory something, but didn't promise Trixie anything. Trixie had to know about both Lucifer and Rory, so she must have found a way to see him on a regular basis. Also, Chloe told Cain that Lucifer owned multiple properties in L.A., so it's possible that Lucifer secretly owned Chloes apartment complex. It would certainly explain why her rent is so affordable, and why repairs are so prompt.

Take a closer look at the date - that was two years ago. I had a couple of issues with the final season but the biggest problem with the final episode was that Chloe lived in the same apartment (no doubt Lucifer left them obscenely wealthy) until she died. That could have been changed. I would have hated for the show to end when Fox cancelled it but by the end of season six I was ready for it to end.

I stand by my belief that they should have made Lucifer be God. It would have come full circle for him as a character. Forming a rebellion to go against God because he thought he could do things better, witnessing the crushing sadness and loneliness that is hell, learning that he wanted to be God for the wrong reasons and then finally, after seeing that there was a right way to do things that didn't involve his own selfish desires, he takes the throne and fixes the problems with the system. It could have even been a redeeming moment for Michael, allowing him dominion over Hell, a job he would have been infinitely better suited for while allowing Amenadiel to be the messenger he had always been. Huge ball drop for the last season.

Where to begin? This series final episode is, IMHO, the best finale in all of television. How many series have you seen where the ending was weird, unsatisfying, or simply nonsensical? Let's examine what makes Partners 'Til the End a great series finale. As usual, the writers take the viewers on an emotional rollercoaster. The acting is extra-strong, and the choice of music-particularly for the wrap-up montage, was spot on. (Note to music producers: Don't force reactors to censor your songs. I bought Scala and the Kolacny Brothers' cover of Champagne Supernova, and three other songs because I heard them in this series. More exposure means more sales, right? Consider the reactors doing some advertising for you.) Three things brought the tissues out for me. In the scene of Chloe and Lucifer kissing and holding each other, I lost it when Chloe covered her face with her hand. The entire montage showing people moving forward was next, especially the part where we see Dan and Charlotte finally together again. Chloe holding baby Aurora also brought a tear (she practically glowed with love). Finally, there was Chloe on her death bed. IRL, I held my mother's hand when she passed, so this scene especially got to me. The episode concluded in the most satisfying way possible, with Chloe and Lucifer reunited for all eternity. Still, we weren't sure they were going to be reunited because Amenadiel asked Chloe if she was ready to "go home," which was the show's euphemism for going to Heaven. Once I heard that knock on Lucifer's therapy door, I knew it wasn't the doughnuts. Where there unanswered questions? Sure. I'll offer my thoughts and speculations: How did LeMec find Aurora? We get an idea of how he trapped the angel from the woman with the tranquilizer gun who shot Aurora after she broke free the first time. LeMec wanted Aurora to spread her wings so he could knock her out again and take the feathers for weapons. But Aurora flew away at the end of the previous episode's beach scene, so how did LeMec find her? I can't think of anything. Why didn't Lucifer and Chloe call for backup (Amenadiel, Mazikeen, etc.) before rescuing Aurora? My guess is because Lucifer promised Aurora he wouldn't change a thing, and this meant Amenadiel, Mazikeen, and the other celestials couldn't know the details of Lucifer's disappearance. If the other celestials knew the truth, there would be a slight chance one of them would slip up and tell Aurora everything. It's flimsy reasoning on my part, but that's all I could come up with. At least Chloe had an incredible circle of friends to help her in Lucifer's absence. Where was Trixie when Chloe was dying? There are many possibilities. Trixie could be an astronaut on the International Space Station, and thus, not able to just grab the next flight to Earth. Trixie could be a mom living on the East Coast, and was in the process of flying to LA when Chloe passed. A commenter on another reactor's channel even suggested Trixie had already died. There are all sorts of possibilities, but one thing is for sure: Aurora was not angry at Trixie for not being there-only Lucifer. Whatever the reason, I'm guessing the writers kept Trixie away in order to make the scene more powerful-Aurora coming to an understanding of Chloe's sacrifice for her. Another Trixie-related question is how she dealt with Lucifer's disappearance. Was she as angry as Aurora? Did she not appear at Chloe's death bed because she was mad at her mom for not telling why Lucifer disappeared? Why was Lucifer surprised when Chloe showed up during the therapy session at the end? Did he think she'd go to heaven to be with her dad? Wouldn't Amenadiel give Lucifer periodic status reports on her life? I'll let other commenters come up with questions I've missed, but these are the ones I think about. Now, I'm going to comment about what I would have done if I were in Lucifer's shoes. If I was Lucifer, I would not promise Aurora that I wouldn't change a thing. Because I cannot lie, I'd say, "I won't promise that" and let her return to the future. From here, I would have several options, but this is my favorite: I could visit Chloe from time to time on a clandestine basis, finally appearing for good when Aurora's "bad*ss wings" fully developed. Then I could spend most of my time on Earth, popping down below now and then for my duty as Hell's healer. But wait, wouldn't this break the time loop? Exactly! The full-grown Aurora in the past would have no way of knowing I changed something and became a lasting part of the family. I would also be reunited with Amenadiel, Mazikeen, Eve, Linda, Ella, and especially Trixie. But the writers wrote the best ending ever, so to borrow a line, "I wouldn't change a thing." Sorry for the wordy comment . . .

Took me a while to fully understand Rory's time line, if Lucifer do part-time soul healing job like AGod, then Rory won't be so angry to time travel, so that Vincent will never kidnap her and Lucifer will never figure out he needs to help those souls in hell, so he must miss Rory's entire early life, it's a closed loop🥸

Yeah well time travel doesn't work seamlessly like that.....what happened with Lucifer in rory's timeline won't happen to Lucifer in main timeline, because rory has already travelled through time creating an alternate timeline

@@subhayanbose9191 think about it how time travel works in harry potter prisoner of azkaban, everything always happens the way it does, but in lucifer they are using that same time travel, rory only goes back home after lucifer promises to change nothing, hence the loop, she always came back in time, and lucifer always promises rory to "abandon" her so she gets angry enough to time travel so he learns his true calling

But I love her interaction with all the others, there is something so funny about them being completely clueless and see knows them so well. Shes also THE coolest character design in the show, those wings are fakking awesome. Sure shes a bit of an edgy emo kid but shes like what 15-20, that comes with the territory. Her wing design alone is enough to make the addition ok imo xD

Don't worry, majority of fans don't like the ending (or season 6 entirely). Its okay to feel "meh" after this, the 10 minutes of crying together went on too long IMO. And Rory's request to stay away doesn't make sense logically, it's just a stupid idea. It's odd that this season was so bad and yet there are so many fans of this show, just proves how good this show was. If they were supported on Fox with a full staff of writers, producers, and supervisors; it would have been that much better and likely had 10+ seasons.

*I felt on the whole Season 6 was an absolute misfire. It was pretty much a Season that didn't need to exist. Season 5 had a way better finale, but Season 6 didn't even have 1 standout episode in my opinion. I started watching this show way back in 2015 when the first 5 episodes were leaked on Kodi & was hooked on the show & the characters, although some Seasons were better than others Season 3 being the most bloated out of them with some filler episodes. Even the worst episodes were better than any Season 6 had to offer.*

They didn't have access to the actress for Trixie for a lot of it, and using time travel as something the devil couldn't trick his way out of was a bit arbitrary. You think this was a happy ending?? Lucifer going to Hell alone for hundreds of thousands of years and losing his one chance at raising his child?

@@stuybob1236 Absolutely nothing can make up for losing the chance to raise your child. The journey from newborn to toddler to child to adult is...there aren't words for it. My son is 6, and when I try to imagine not having known him through all his hilarious adorable early years my heart hurts.

Thanks for sticking with this to the end! I hated the Rory character and story line, but just tried to enjoy the tasty Deckerstar fluff sprinkled through season 6 and ignore her. Lucifer & Chloe made all sorts of bad decisions throughout the series, reflecting various weaknesses and vulnerabilities and keeping Deckerstar tantalizingly just out of reach. That's OK - stories about perfect people are BORING! I just rack up their submission to Rory's selfish bullying as another one of those flaws, and try not to dwell on it. Deckerstar got there in the end, and that's what's important to me. If I want flawless logical structures, I'll read science. What I want from fiction is emotional resonance, and Lucifer! delivered that in spades.

I didn't like this ending either. Like the guy can't visit once in 50 years? Really? Everyone's together and living a whole life on Earth, yet he's choosing to play therapist to a bunch of idiots without a single vacation for all eternity? It makes no sense. Fully understand you not being emotional here. After death they all just chill happily ever after, it takes the sting out of any loss. I love Lucifer, but it is very cringey at times and other times makes poor creative decisions. But I am so thankful for the characters it brought us. And Tom Ellis was a perfect casting to play Lucifer. I really hope he is able to do more cameos and appearances as the devil. He's only done 1, and it was like 10 seconds long. Wasted opportunity to put him in a bunch of DC content tbh...

I completely understand why people feel differently but I don't love the "Netflix-era Lucifer" as much as everyone else. I think the show lost some of its charm and humor when they were given more leeway from the constrictions of network television. There were certainly great things there like Charlie, Eve, Adriana... God. Truth be told, the second season was my favorite overall. That's not to say any season was really bad (the third pushed it, though) but I think the second had the best balance of drama, action, humor, etc.. Just my two pennies.

maze was such a terrible character after season 2, her downward spiral and community hate is deservedly so. anyone who liked her past that point doesn't have objective reasoning and it's typically bs girls supporting girls for the sake thinking they're a decent character when in reality they're blinded by biased
@Nyarlathotep_Flagg7 ай бұрын
Yeah... Final story line was highly sub-par. Somewhat rushed. But honestly the entire company was on a downwards trend, I suppose it's to be expected.
