It's be okay for a while, but eventually the ennui of immortality would set in. You would have seen everything, done everything, experienced everything. Seen the same cycles repeated by humanity and life itself over and over and over again. You'd just just... become apathetic and and despondent eventually, lacking motivation to move much less 'live'.

Here is the difference. Lucifer can ease Dan's suffering in hell/purgatory. He could even change playing ping pong to something else. Not so with Dan as a ghost. If you want to take the going to movies for free then what happens all the times someone sits on you or walks through you? If Dan wants to stay around the only people he can talk to then he has to stay around the people he'd want to but can't. If he leaves then he has to deal with not being able to talk to anyone ever. Being a ghost isn't a cool thing like you are invisible.

Yay, I finally agree with Eric on one of these discussions. Give me ghost on earth over ping pong pro in hell any day. Just as in real life, it may be extremely difficult on days but you would also still be able to experience some happiness/joy that make the difficult times worth it. You would have the option to experience a variety of things rather than the mundane repetition of ping pong.

Yes but like Dan said its too much seeing your loved ones and cannot hug them or they cannot see you. Might be fine for awhile to see your loved ones, growing up etc, but they will be in pain sometimes from being hurt by someone emotionally or physically and you would only be able to watch and do nothing

"Rick, stop being reasonable!" That's the motto of all of season 6. The writers just started being stupid to try and force an ending they wanted int the worst possible way. To me, season 5 was where it should have ended, since they couldn't do season 6 reasonably, apparently.

I don't understand as Amenadiel carried Charlotte to heaven and her body was left behind. Angels can carry souls and if it couldn't Lucifer carried Abel and put him in a body. Lucifer could put Dan in a dying person's body so he could be able to interract with the world. Huge plot hole here. Yeah, tough sitch. My husband died a few hours after I had gone to bed. I kicked myself for not being there when he passed for a time until my Mother reminded me that our cat was with him because when I searched for her before the police got there, she was hiding underneath the couch, which she would never do. So, he wasn't alone but it was very traumatic for her too. Ghost vs. hell: I don't believe a hell exists except for the one you take with you. So, definitely a ghost because with all the stories, they do interract with energy & objects, enter dreams to visit and do help with intuition if you have a strong connection, e.g. my husband. I miss waking up to song worms that had no business of being in my head. Still, my husband promised to haunt me and things that have occurred since he passed defies the possibility of it being just mere coincidence. Lucifer was our favourite show to watch together. He died on the same night the episode where Charlotte died debuted on FOX. Season 4 debuted on Netflix on the first anniversary of his passing.

It's not a plot hole. When Charlotte died in Amenadiel's arms, her soul was JUST LEAVING her body and was about to ascend into heaven. In that moment where he self actualized his wings back he just felt it was was his duty as her friend to carry her there himself. Dan was dead for a lot longer than Charlotte and his soul had already been sent to an afterlife, so him being brought back to the land of the living after his afterlife was already chosen THEN made his soul intangible. As for able, his soul NEVER touched the land of the living. Lucifer straight up took him from hell and INSTANTLY put him in a dying body. Able was NEVER a ghost on earth. And Lucifer already answered why he never chose to yonk Dan out of hell. He said if he did it would be the end of all free will and that only Dan can get HIMSELF out.

I was wondering about Lucifer saying he couldn't carry Dan's soul back to hell because that where it was, in Dan's mind subconsciously, he was supposed to be. I just find it strange that Lucifer was able to put Abel's soul in a dying body but he couldn't do that with Dan's.

@@myridean2k4 That's because Lucifer was able to grab Abel from hell where he was still tangible and immediately put into a dead body whereas Dan was only brought up. I guess Rory could have done the same to him but didn't. Rory did have a grip on him still when they reached earth but the moment she let go of him he became intangible. Works with the Abel situation, too. I bet if Lucifer had let go of him before putting him into a body the same would have happened.

@@myridean2k4 no learn to pay attention, when lucifer flew down and grabbed abel his soul was in hell so its tangible down their, he was able to fly back up holding onto abel while he is still touching him the soul is tangible than he chucked it in a body that JUST DIED, this is a different situation, Rory grabbed dans soul flew him to the land of the living and let go of him, once his soul left her arms he was no longer tangible THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLOT HOLE
